Product Overview

The WX2 Eco Stretch Service Trousers represent a significant advancement in sustainable workwear design, combining environmental responsibility with technical performance. Engineered for professionals who require maximum mobility, these trousers are constructed from a high-performance recycled polyester and elastane blend. The result is a garment that supports the wearer's range of motion while maintaining a streamlined, professional silhouette suitable for service roles and active work environments.

Key Features

  • Recycled Polyester Construction: Utilising recycled materials reduces environmental impact without compromising the fabric's inherent durability or longevity.
  • 4-Way Stretch Fabric: The inclusion of elastane allows the garment to flex in all directions, ensuring total comfort during physically demanding tasks.
  • Adjustable Fit: Side elastication and hook-and-loop waist tabs allow for a precision fit that remains secure throughout the day.
  • Four Functional Pockets: Strategically placed pockets provide essential storage for tools and personal items without adding unnecessary bulk to the design.
  • Adjustable Stud Hem: The customisable hem allows the wearer to achieve the perfect leg length or secure the trousers over various footwear types.

Design & Performance

The primary fabric is Kingsmill Polyester Stretch Eco, a well-engineered textile comprising 93% recycled polyester and 7% elastane. This lightweight fabric is specifically designed for the service industry, where breathability and flexibility are paramount. The 4-way stretch properties ensure that the trousers do not restrict movement when kneeling, climbing, or reaching.

For additional resilience, the garment features a contrast fabric in key areas. When used in combination with appropriate knee pads, these trousers meet EN 14404: 2004 + A1: 2010 standards, providing essential protection for those working on hard surfaces.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth finish of the Kingsmill fabric makes these service trousers an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names, providing a superior, long-lasting finish that reinforces your brand identity. For larger, bold graphics, our precision printing techniques offer vibrant results.

All customisation is handled at our dedicated facility in Telford. Our expert team, backed by decades of experience since 1976, ensures that every logo is applied with the highest attention to detail, maintaining the professional appearance your business demands.

Use Cases

These trousers are ideal for professionals in the service sector, maintenance engineering, and logistics. Their hiking-style design also makes them suitable for outdoor roles where agility and comfort are required over long shifts. The understated black colour ensures they integrate seamlessly into most corporate uniform requirements.

Why MyWorkwear

Established in 1976, MyWorkwear has been a trusted partner for UK businesses for nearly half a century. We operate from our technical hub in Telford, where we combine traditional craft with modern customisation technology. Our longevity in the industry is a testament to our commitment to quality, ensuring that every garment we produce meets the rigorous standards of the British workforce.

Practical Advice

Given the 4-way stretch nature of the fabric, these trousers offer a more forgiving fit than traditional heavy-duty work trousers. We recommend utilising the waist hook-and-loop adjusters to fine-tune the fit once you have selected your base size. For those requiring knee protection, ensure you pair these with the S156 inserts to maintain the certified safety standards.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical properties of the stretch fabric and ensure the longevity of your custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures can degrade the elastane fibres, leading to a loss of shape and flexibility over time.

Bleaching agents must be avoided as they will strip the dye and damage the recycled polyester structure. Similarly, these trousers should not be tumble dried; instead, line dry them in the shade to prevent heat damage and UV fading. Do not iron or dry clean this garment, as the high heat and chemical processes can permanently damage the technical stretch finish.
