Product Overview

The Women's Anti-Static ESD Trousers are a specialized garment engineered for environments where electrostatic discharge poses a significant risk to sensitive electronic components. Designed specifically for the electronics industry, these trousers prioritize both safety and the comfort required for long shifts in laboratory or manufacturing settings. The integration of conductive fibres ensures that static electricity is safely dissipated, providing a critical layer of protection for both the wearer and the equipment being handled.

Key Features

  • Integrated conductive fibre prevents the build-up of static electricity, shielding sensitive electronic components from damage.
  • The durable polyester and cotton blend offers a balance of hard-wearing performance and all-day breathability.
  • Tailored specifically for women, ensuring a professional and comfortable fit that allows for ease of movement in technical environments.
  • Substantial construction ensures longevity in demanding industrial settings while maintaining a smart appearance.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a medium-weight fabric blend of 65% polyester, 34% cotton, and 1% conductive fibre, these trousers are built to last. The polyester provides the necessary strength to withstand the rigours of the workplace, while the cotton content ensures the fabric remains breathable against the skin. The inclusion of the 1% conductive fibre is the technical heart of the garment, woven directly into the fabric to maintain its anti-static properties through repeated wash cycles. The result is a garment that feels sturdy and reliable without being overly heavy or restrictive.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

At MyWorkwear, we understand that professional identification is essential in a technical environment. These ESD trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery. For a traditional, professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual staff names. If your branding requires large, bold graphics, our high-quality printing process is an excellent alternative. All customisation is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, ensuring your branding is applied with precision without compromising the garment's anti-static integrity.

Use Cases

These trousers are an essential choice for professionals working in electronics manufacturing, component assembly, and cleanroom environments. They are also highly suitable for laboratory technicians and engineers who frequently handle sensitive electronic devices where static control is mandatory for quality assurance and safety.

Practical Advice

For those working in climate-controlled environments, these medium-weight trousers provide excellent insulation while remaining breathable. When selecting your size, consider the fit required for sitting or bending during assembly tasks; choosing the correct size will ensure the conductive fibres maintain consistent contact and performance.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of these anti-static trousers, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Washing at this temperature ensures the removal of industrial contaminants while preserving the integrity of the conductive fibres.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach is a harsh chemical that can break down the polyester-cotton fibres and permanently damage the anti-static conductive properties, rendering the trousers ineffective for ESD environments.

The trousers can be tumble dried on a normal setting or line dried. For the best finish, we recommend line drying to reduce mechanical wear on the fabric. If ironing is required, use a maximum temperature of 150°C to avoid heat damage to the synthetic fibres.

For deep cleaning, these trousers are suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene in a normal process, which helps remove stubborn grease or oils without compromising the fabric's technical features.
