Product Overview
The Standard Cotton Coat is an essential garment for professionals operating within the food industry, healthcare, and catering sectors. Engineered to provide a clean, authoritative appearance, this coat is more than just a protective layer; it is a well-engineered solution for those requiring high standards of hygiene and durability. The white finish ensures a crisp look that is synonymous with cleanliness in professional environments.
Key Features
- Concealed Stud Front: The hidden fastening system reduces the risk of snagging on machinery or contaminating products, making it ideal for food preparation and production lines.
- Three Utility Pockets: Equipped with two lower patch pockets and one chest pocket, providing ample storage for essential tools or personal items without compromising the garment's streamlined silhouette.
- Pre-Shrunk Fabric: The cotton is treated to ensure it maintains its shape and fit after repeated laundering, preventing the inconvenience of garment shrinkage.
- Pilling Resistance: The use of long staple fibres ensures the fabric remains smooth and free from surface bobbling, even after intensive wear.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% Kingsmill Cotton, this coat is designed for performance in demanding roles. This heavyweight cotton fabric is breathable, allowing for comfort during long shifts in warm environments such as bakeries or kitchens. The material's natural strength is enhanced by the high-quality construction process, which focuses on dye retention to ensure the white remains vibrant and professional over time.
The fit is designed to be practical, allowing for a full range of movement whether you are reaching for supplies or working at a station. The durability of the cotton ensures that it can withstand the rigours of a commercial environment while providing a soft touch against the skin.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we understand that branding is vital for business identity. This Standard Cotton Coat is perfectly suited for both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery provides a "proper" professional look that is exceptionally durable, making it the preferred choice for company logos and staff names that need to withstand frequent high-temperature washing.
For larger, more vibrant designs or promotional messaging, our high-quality printing services offer a bold alternative. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility, drawing on nearly five decades of experience to ensure your branding is executed with precision.

Practical Advice
As this is a protective coat designed to be worn over regular clothing, we recommend considering your typical layering when choosing a size. If you intend to wear a sweatshirt or heavy jumper underneath, you may find a slightly larger size provides better ease of movement. The concealed studs are designed for quick fastening and removal, which is a vital safety feature in many industrial settings.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high standards of hygiene required in professional settings, this coat can be washed at temperatures up to 60°C. This ensures thorough cleaning and the removal of bacteria or food-based stains without damaging the cotton fibres.
We advise against the use of bleach, as this will degrade the natural fibres and reduce the lifespan of the garment. For drying, both line drying and tumble drying on a normal setting are appropriate, though line drying helps to preserve the crispness of the fabric for longer.
The garment can be ironed at a maximum temperature of 150°C to maintain its professional appearance. Please avoid dry cleaning, as the chemicals used can interfere with the comfort and integrity of the 100% cotton material.
