Product Overview
The Sealtex Ultra Hi-Vis Rain Jacket is a technically advanced solution for professionals requiring high-level visibility and uncompromising protection from the elements. Engineered with a focus on both functionality and wearer comfort, this jacket ensures you remain dry and conspicuous in challenging weather conditions without the restrictive bulk of traditional rainwear. The vibrant orange hue, combined with integrated reflective detailing, ensures compliance with safety standards while the specialized fabric technology provides a superior barrier against moisture.
Key Features
- Concealed Hood: Provides immediate protection against sudden downpours and can be neatly stowed away when the weather clears, preventing it from becoming a snag hazard.
- Adjustable Cuffs: Features customizable fastenings to create a secure seal around the wrists, preventing water ingress and ensuring a comfortable fit over gloves.
- Roomy Storage Pockets: Large, secure pockets provide ample space for essential tools and personal items, keeping them protected from the rain while remaining easily accessible.
- Tricot Knit Fabric: The interior knit provides a softer feel against the skin or base layers compared to standard plastic-finish rainwear, significantly enhancing long-term wearer comfort.
Design & Performance
This jacket is constructed from Sealtex Ultra, a high-performance 100% Polyester Tricot Knit fabric that has been PU coated. This lightweight material is specifically chosen for its unique combination of flexibility and strength. Unlike rigid waterproof garments, the Tricot Knit allows for a degree of movement that is essential for physical work on-site.
The PU (Polyurethane) coating is the primary line of defence, providing a robust waterproof barrier that allows rain to bead and roll off the surface. Because the fabric is lightweight, it is an excellent choice for active roles where overheating is a concern, yet its windproof properties ensure you are shielded from the chill of the breeze.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a cohesive and professional image, the Sealtex Ultra Rain Jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. For a traditional, high-end finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names; our specialist machines create a durable, textured result that stands up well to daily wear.
If you require larger, high-impact branding across the back of the jacket, our heat-applied print methods are exceptionally effective. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility by our expert team, drawing on nearly five decades of experience since our establishment in 1976. This ensures your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the garment's professional appearance throughout its service life.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideal for workers in the construction, logistics, and rail industries who require EN-compliant high-visibility clothing. Its lightweight nature makes it particularly suitable for seasonal transitions or as an outer layer during active tasks in wet weather. It is also a preferred choice for site managers and surveyors who need to remain visible and dry while moving between various locations.

Practical Advice
The Sealtex Ultra jacket features a regular fit designed to be worn over standard work clothing. If you intend to wear this over a heavy fleece or a quilted jacket during the winter months, you may wish to consider selecting one size larger than your usual measurement to ensure a full range of motion.
Caring for your product
To maintain the integrity of the PU coating and ensure the reflective properties remain effective, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures or harsh detergents can degrade the waterproof membrane and dull the high-visibility orange pigment.
Do not use bleach, as this will chemically damage the polyester fibres and the reflective tape, rendering the safety features ineffective. This garment must not be tumble dried or ironed; excessive heat will melt the PU coating and damage any applied print or embroidery. Instead, the jacket should be drip line dried to maintain its shape and technical performance.
Please note that this garment is certified for a maximum of 25 washes. Beyond this point, the reflective and waterproof qualities may begin to diminish, and for safety reasons, the jacket should be inspected for continued compliance with high-visibility standards. Do not dry clean, as the solvents used in that process will strip the protective coating from the fabric.
