Product Overview
The Sealtex Flame FR Trousers are a specialised solution for professionals who require reliable protection against both environmental elements and industrial hazards. These trousers are engineered to offer a comprehensive barrier against rain and wind while ensuring the wearer is shielded from flame hazards. The use of advanced fabric technology means you don't have to choose between staying dry and staying safe.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team maintains a professional appearance while on-site, these trousers can be customised with your company branding. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a superior, long-lasting finish, typically used for company logos or staff names to provide a high-quality look that lasts. For larger, more prominent designs, our printing service offers a bold and clear result.
Based in Telford and established in 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of experience in garment customisation. Our in-house team handles every order with precision, ensuring that your branding is applied without compromising the integrity of the protective fabric.
Key Features
- The flame-resistant properties are inherent to the fabric, providing a vital layer of safety for those working in environments where heat and flame hazards are a constant risk.
- Fully waterproof and windproof construction ensures that even the most adverse British weather won't disrupt your productivity or comfort.
- Chemical resistance adds an extra dimension of safety, protecting the wearer from accidental splashes of hazardous substances.
- Adjustable hems allow for a customisable fit, making it significantly easier to put the trousers on or take them off while wearing substantial work boots.
Design & Performance
The performance of these trousers is driven by the Sealtex Flame fabric, a high-quality PU-coated polyester. This material is specifically chosen for its lightweight and stretchy characteristics, allowing for maximum freedom of movement during physically demanding tasks. Unlike heavier, more restrictive safety gear, the flexibility of Sealtex Flame ensures that the garment moves with you.
Durability is at the core of the design. The PU coating not only provides a waterproof seal but also contributes to the fabric's overall resilience against the daily wear and tear of a busy worksite. It is a well-balanced garment that prioritises both protection and the practical needs of the worker.
Use Cases
These trousers are an essential item for workers in the utilities, petrochemical, and outdoor maintenance sectors. They are particularly well-suited for any role where there is a combined risk of flame exposure and a requirement to work outdoors in wet and windy conditions.

Practical Advice
These trousers are designed to be worn as an over-garment. We suggest ensuring you have adequate room for your primary work trousers underneath to maintain full mobility. Utilise the adjustable hems to create a secure seal over your safety boots to prevent water ingress from the ground up.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance and protective standards of the Sealtex Flame fabric, it is vital to follow these maintenance guidelines. Proper care ensures the garment remains a dependable part of your safety equipment for longer.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the specialised PU coating and compromise the flame-resistant properties of the material.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents are too aggressive for the technical fibers and will degrade the fabric’s ability to resist chemicals and flames.
These trousers must not be tumble dried. High heat can cause the waterproof coating to crack or peel, rendering the garment ineffective in wet conditions. Air drying is the only recommended method.
Do not iron this product. Direct heat from an iron will melt the PU coating, causing permanent damage to the fabric. Similarly, do not dry clean, as the solvents used in that process can strip the protective finishes from the polyester.
