Product Overview
The PW3 Modaflame Work Hi-Vis Multi-Norm FR Bib and Brace is a sophisticated piece of protective equipment designed for those working in high-risk environments where flame resistance and high visibility are non-negotiable. Constructed from inherent Modaflame fabric, this garment does not rely on chemical treatments that can wash out; the protection is built into the very fibres of the material. This contemporary design ensures the wearer remains comfortable without compromising on the stringent safety standards required for multi-norm protection.
Key Features
- Inherent Flame Resistance: The fabric provides permanent protection against heat and flames, ensuring safety remains consistent throughout the life of the garment.
- Triple-Stitched Seams: Reinforced stitching throughout the garment provides superior strength, preventing seam failure under the physical demands of industrial work.
- Top-Loading Kneepad Pockets: These allow for easy insertion and removal of knee protection, essential for tradespeople spending significant time working at ground level.
- Multiway Thigh Pocket: Designed for secure and easy access to essential tools, keys, and mobile devices, keeping your equipment within reach.
- Reinforced Abrasion Points: Durable FR-rated reinforcement at key areas ensures the garment withstands the rigours of heavy-duty use.
Design & Performance
The core of this bib and brace lies in its advanced material composition. The primary fabric uses a blend of modacrylic and cotton with integrated carbon fibre, which provides essential anti-static protection. This medium-weight fabric offers a balance between substantial protection and breathability, making it suitable for year-round use.
Furthermore, the inclusion of Modaflame Work Stretch panels—comprising modacrylic, cotton, and elastane—is a deliberate design choice to enhance mobility. These stretch sections allow for a greater range of movement and flexibility, which is often lacking in traditional flame-resistant workwear. The addition of carbon fibre across both fabrics ensures that static build-up is dissipated, a critical requirement in many hazardous industrial sectors.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team maintains a professional appearance while adhering to safety protocols, this bib and brace can be fully customised. Embroidery is an excellent choice for adding company logos or staff names, providing a durable and sophisticated finish that withstands regular industrial laundering.
For larger, more prominent branding, our high-quality print services are available. This is particularly effective for bold designs that need to be visible from a distance. All customisation is handled at our specialist facility in Telford by our expert team, who have been perfecting these techniques since 1976.
Use Cases
This garment is specifically engineered for professionals working in industries such as petrochemicals, power generation, and rail maintenance, where protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat is required. It is equally suited for any environment requiring high-visibility protection alongside flame-resistant and anti-static properties.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear beneath the bib and brace. As this is a protective outer layer, ensuring a comfortable fit that allows for full range of motion is vital for both safety and comfort during long shifts.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and structural integrity of your bib and brace, it is important to follow the recommended care routine. Maintaining the cleanliness of the garment ensures the reflective properties and flame-resistant fibres continue to function as intended.
We recommend a normal wash process at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature may lead to premature wear of the specialised fibres and potentially affect the vibrancy of the high-visibility colour. Avoid the use of bleach at all costs, as chlorine-based cleaners will degrade the flame-resistant properties and damage the fabric's strength.
If tumble drying, use a low heat setting to prevent any potential shrinkage or damage to the elastane stretch components. When ironing, do not exceed a temperature of 150°C to avoid damaging the synthetic modacrylic fibres. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemical solvents used in the process can be detrimental to the performance of the technical fabrics.
