Product Overview

The PW3 Modaflame Rain+ Hi-Vis Multi-Norm FR Winter Coverall is an expertly engineered garment designed for those working in the most demanding industrial environments. Constructed from proprietary Modaflame Rain+ fabric, this substantial coverall offers a unique combination of multi-norm protection, shielding the wearer from heat, flame, chemicals, and electric arc hazards. Its integrated waterproof technology ensures performance remains high even in inclement weather, while the winter-weight insulation provides necessary warmth for outdoor operations during the colder months.

Key Features
  • Removable Helmet-Compatible Hood: Features an adjustable fit and shaped peak to provide superior weather protection without compromising safety headwear requirements.
  • HiVisTex Pro Flame Reflective Tape: A segmented design that allows for increased freedom of movement while ensuring maximum visibility in low-light conditions.
  • Bottom-Loading Knee Pad Pockets: Designed for easy insertion of protective pads, ensuring comfort and joint protection during tasks involving kneeling.
  • Zipped Side Leg Openings: Allows for quick and easy access, making it simpler to put on or remove the coverall over bulky work boots.
  • Adjustable Cuffs: Ensures a secure and comfortable fit at the wrists, preventing the ingress of wind or rain.

Design & Performance

The core of this coverall's performance lies in the 7mm ripstop fabric. This technical weave is exceptionally resilient, preventing small snags from developing into larger tears, which is essential for heavy-duty site work. The blend of modacrylic, cotton, and carbon fibre provides inherent flame resistance and anti-static properties that will not wash out over time. The PU coating offers a high level of water resistance, certified to EN343 standards, keeping the wearer dry without sacrificing safety.

Inside, the coverall features a flame-resistant lining and filling. This internal layering is designed to trap heat efficiently, providing a substantial barrier against the cold while maintaining the safety integrity of the garment. The two-tone orange and black design provides a modern aesthetic while meeting strict hi-visibility requirements.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team maintains a professional appearance while adhering to safety standards, this coverall is suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is the preferred choice for detailed company logos and staff names, providing a durable and high-quality finish that withstands industrial wear. For larger, more prominent branding, our high-performance print options offer excellent clarity. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, manages the entire customisation process in-house to ensure the protective qualities of your garment are respected.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in high-risk sectors. It is an ideal choice for electrical engineers requiring arc flash protection, petrochemical workers dealing with chemical risks, and rail or motorway maintenance crews who need high-visibility, flame-resistant winter protection. The multi-norm certification makes it a versatile solution for complex sites with multiple hazards.

Practical Advice

This is a substantial, insulated winter garment. We recommend considering the layers you intend to wear underneath when selecting your size. The adjustable elements, such as the cuffs and hood, should be utilised to create a secure seal against the elements, ensuring the thermal properties of the coverall are maximised.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the integrity of flame-resistant and hi-visibility fabrics is essential for your continued safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. This ensures that contaminants are removed without degrading the technical fibres or the PU coating.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will chemically damage the flame-retardant properties of the fabric and significantly fade the hi-visibility colour, rendering the garment unsafe for use. Drip line drying is recommended; avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat can cause shrinkage and damage the reflective tape.

This garment should not be ironed. The heat from an iron can damage the technical PU coating and the reflective elements. Additionally, dry cleaning should be avoided to prevent chemical interference with the fabric's protective treatments.
