Product Overview
The PW3 Hi-Vis Women's Rain Jacket is a technical solution for professionals who require high-visibility protection without compromising on fit or performance. Specifically designed and tested by women, this jacket moves away from the traditional 'unisex' approach to provide a contemporary, sporty fit that allows for natural movement. Constructed from a durable, high-performance fabric, it offers a high level of waterproofing and breathability, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable during long shifts in inclement weather.
Key Features
- Detachable Ergonomically Shaped Hood: Provides versatile protection against the elements and can be removed when not required to reduce bulk and improve visibility.
- Waterproof Underarm Pit Zips: These allow for immediate ventilation during high-exertion tasks, preventing moisture build-up inside the garment without compromising waterproof integrity.
- Multiple Secure Pockets: Offers ample storage for essential tools and personal items, keeping them protected and easily accessible.
- Stain-Resistant Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel oil, water, and dirt, ensuring the high-visibility orange remains effective and the jacket looks professional for longer.
- Waterproof Front Zip: Engineered to prevent water ingress through the primary fastening, maintaining a dry internal environment.
Design & Performance
This jacket is manufactured using a substantial 300D Oxford weave polyester. This fabric is chosen for its exceptional tensile strength and resistance to abrasions, making it ideal for demanding work environments. The double PU coating provides a robust barrier against heavy rain, while the internal mesh lining promotes airflow and prevents the fabric from sticking to the skin or mid-layers. The modern design avoids the boxy silhouette of standard workwear, providing a tailored appearance that maintains professional authority while delivering industrial-grade performance.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we understand that your uniform is a reflection of your brand. This jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos and staff names, providing a durable, high-quality finish that withstands the rigours of outdoor work. For larger, more complex graphics or promotional messaging, our high-definition printing processes ensure bold visibility.
Our expert team has been providing customisation services from our Telford base since 1976. We manage every stage of the process in-house to ensure your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the waterproof integrity and professional look of the garment.
Use Cases
The PW3 Hi-Vis Women's Rain Jacket is an essential equipment choice for site managers, civil engineers, and logistics professionals. Its high-visibility orange and black contrast design makes it particularly suitable for environments where visibility is paramount, such as construction sites, roadside works, or rail environments. The breathable nature of the fabric also makes it an excellent choice for active roles where temperature regulation is a constant challenge.

Practical Advice
As a technical rain jacket, the PW389 is designed with a modern fit. If you intend to wear substantial thermal layers or heavy knitwear underneath during winter months, you may wish to consider your layering requirements when selecting a size. The mesh lining ensures it slides easily over fleece or base layers without snagging.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and safety certifications of this jacket, proper maintenance is essential. Regular cleaning ensures that dirt and oils do not degrade the PU coating or the reflective properties of the tape.
We recommend a mild domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the waterproof membrane and the heat-applied reflective elements. Do not use bleach, as harsh chemicals will strip the stain-resistant finish and fade the high-visibility pigment.
The jacket should be drip line dried only. Using a tumble dryer or an iron will cause the PU coating to melt or delaminate, rendering the jacket no longer waterproof. Finally, this garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes; beyond this point, the high-visibility properties may no longer meet the required safety standards for certain environments.
