Product Overview
The Pilot Jacket is a sophisticated and highly versatile garment designed to meet the demands of various work environments. Combining a contemporary aesthetic with exceptional practicality, this jacket is engineered for professionals who require adaptability throughout the working day. Its modular design allows it to function as a heavy-duty winter jacket or a lighter bodywarmer, ensuring it remains a core part of your uniform regardless of the season.
Key Features
- Modular Zip-Out Sleeves: This feature allows the jacket to be converted into a bodywarmer, providing greater flexibility and ventilation during active tasks or warmer weather conditions.
- Removable Fur Liner and Collar: The detachable lining and collar offer tailored thermal protection, allowing the wearer to adjust the jacket's warmth based on the external environment.
- Secure Multi-Pocket Design: Equipped with multiple secure pockets, the jacket provides ample storage for tools, mobile devices, and essential documentation, keeping them safe and accessible.
- Shower-Proof Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel light rain, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable during unpredictable weather.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a robust blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester, the shell fabric offers a balance of natural comfort and synthetic durability. The polyester component provides essential tensile strength, while the cotton ensures the garment remains breathable during physical exertion. Internally, the polyester wadding provides effective insulation by trapping heat without adding excessive bulk, making it a substantial barrier against the cold.
The performance of the jacket is further enhanced by the high-quality polyester fur lining. This layer is designed specifically for cold-weather performance, providing a soft, thermal barrier that is easily removed when the temperature rises. The overall build is engineered to withstand the rigours of daily professional use while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Pilot Jacket serves as an excellent canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for primary company logos and individual names; this method provides a textured finish that withstands industrial wear and frequent laundering. The structured chest area is particularly well-suited for this application, ensuring a sophisticated appearance for your team.
For larger, high-impact graphics or promotional messaging on the back, heat-applied print is an ideal choice. Our in-house production team, based at our Telford facility since 1976, handles the entire process. We ensure that every logo is applied with precision, maintaining the integrity of the shower-proof finish while ensuring your brand is clearly visible to clients and the public.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for professionals in logistics, site management, and the various trades who transition between outdoor environments and vehicle cabs or offices. Its adaptable nature makes it perfect for year-round use in the UK, where conditions can change rapidly throughout a single shift.

Practical Advice
Given the inclusion of a removable fur liner, this jacket offers a generous fit to accommodate layering. If you intend to wear it primarily without the liner, you may find the fit more spacious. As a 4XL garment, it provides ample room for movement, which is essential for manual tasks requiring a full range of motion.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and longevity of your Pilot Jacket, it is essential to follow the recommended care guidelines. Proper maintenance ensures the shower-proof finish and structural integrity remain intact over time.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the synthetic fibres and potentially degrade any custom branding or the shower-proof coating.
Bleaching agents should never be used, as they will cause significant colour fading and weaken the fabric's structure. Similarly, the garment should not be tumble dried; high heat in the drying cycle can lead to shrinkage and may affect the adhesion of printed logos. We recommend hanging the garment to dry naturally.
If ironing is required, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. For garments with custom print, avoid direct contact between the iron and the printed area to prevent damage. For a deeper clean, the jacket is suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene.
