Product Overview
The Modaflame Work FR Coverall is a sophisticated piece of protective equipment designed for environments where safety is non-negotiable. Engineered with multi-norm protection in mind, this medium-weight coverall provides a reliable barrier against heat, flames, and electrostatic discharge. Unlike garments that rely on temporary coatings, this coverall utilizes inherent fabric technology to ensure safety remains consistent throughout the life of the garment. It offers a professional appearance while meeting the rigorous demands of industrial work.
Key Features
- Inherently flame retardant fibres provide permanent protection that will not wash out or diminish over time.
- Difficult-to-ignite fabric properties ensure the garment will self-extinguish, significantly reducing the risk of burn injuries.
- Integrated carbon fibre offers essential protection against electrostatic discharge hazards, making it suitable for volatile environments.
- A high cotton content ensures the garment remains breathable and comfortable for the wearer during long shifts.
- The fabric construction is designed for strength and longevity, standing up to the physical rigours of the workplace.
Design & Performance
At the heart of this coverall is the Modaflame Work fabric, a precise blend of 60% Modacrylic, 39% Cotton, and 1% Carbon Fibre. Modacrylic is an inherently flame-retardant fibre that does not combust; it is technically engineered to be difficult to ignite and will naturally self-extinguish. This eliminates the need for external flame-retardant chemical treatments during the textile process, ensuring the safety features are literally woven into the DNA of the garment.
The addition of 39% cotton provides a soft hand-feel and moisture-wicking properties, which are vital for maintaining thermal comfort in high-intensity roles. Furthermore, the 1% carbon fibre component provides the necessary anti-static properties required for multi-norm compliance, ensuring that static build-up is safely dissipated.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
Maintaining a professional corporate identity is straightforward with the Modaflame Work FR Coverall. This garment is suitable for both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is particularly effective for high-quality corporate logos and individual names, providing a durable and professional finish that complements the garment's construction.
For larger, more prominent branding, heat-applied printing is an excellent alternative. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. With MyWorkwear’s experience dating back to 1976, we ensure that your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the professional integrity of your safety uniform.
Use Cases
This coverall is specifically designed for professionals working in industries such as petrochemicals, utilities, and electrical engineering where there is a combined risk of flame exposure and electrostatic discharge. It is an ideal choice for site engineers, maintenance technicians, and any personnel operating in high-risk industrial zones where multi-norm protection is a mandatory requirement.

Practical Advice
To ensure maximum protection, this coverall should be worn as part of a complete safety system. We recommend sizing the garment to allow for comfortable movement, especially when wearing base layers underneath. Ensure all fastenings are fully secured during work to maintain the protective envelope of the garment.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of flame-resistant garments is essential for ongoing safety. We recommend a normal washing process at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This ensures that industrial contaminants are removed without damaging the modacrylic fibres.
Bleaching agents must never be used. Chlorine and other bleaching chemicals can weaken the fabric structure and potentially interfere with the garment's protective performance, leading to premature wear.
For drying, a low-temperature tumble dry setting is advised. High heat can cause unnecessary stress on the fibres. When ironing, do not exceed a temperature of 150°C to ensure the garment remains crisp without heat damage. Finally, this garment should not be dry cleaned, as the chemicals used in that process may not be compatible with the fabric's technical composition.
