Product Overview

These Hi-Vis Work Trousers are a well-engineered solution for professionals who require high-level visibility without sacrificing functional utility. Conforming to the EN ISO 20471 standard, they ensure you remain conspicuous in hazardous or low-light environments, which is a fundamental requirement for site safety. The design focuses on the practicalities of a long shift, incorporating specialized storage and comfort features that make them a reliable choice for daily use.

Key Features
  • EN ISO 20471 Compliance: This certification ensures the garment meets international safety standards for high-visibility clothing, providing peace of mind in high-risk zones.
  • Combat Thigh Pocket: A spacious side pocket allows for the secure storage of tools or paperwork, keeping your hands free while you work.
  • Integrated Mobile Phone Pocket: Designed for modern needs, this pocket keeps your device protected and easily accessible throughout the day.
  • Kneepad Pockets: These internal pockets allow for the insertion of kneepads, providing essential joint protection for those frequently working at floor level.
  • Elasticated Back Waist: The inclusion of elastic in the rear waistband ensures a more forgiving and secure fit, allowing for greater freedom of movement when bending or lifting.

Design & Performance

The trousers are constructed from Kingsmill Polycotton, a medium-weight fabric blend consisting of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This specific material is chosen for its balance of breathability and resilience. To ensure the trousers maintain their fit over time, the fabric is fully pre-shrunk, while superior dye retention properties ensure the fluorescent yellow remains vibrant even after repeated use. While these trousers are designed to make you visible to everyone else on site, the thoughtful construction ensures you won't be distracted by discomfort while wearing them.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Customising your safety wear is an effective way to maintain a professional appearance while promoting your brand. These trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is particularly effective for adding company logos or individual names to the pocket or thigh areas, offering a durable and sophisticated finish. For larger, high-impact branding, our print services provide excellent clarity that stands out against the high-visibility background. Our expert team in Telford, who have been refining their craft since 1976, manages all customisation in-house to ensure the highest standards are met.

Use Cases

These trousers are primarily designed for those working in construction, logistics, and civil engineering. They are an essential item for site supervisors, warehouse staff, and roadside maintenance workers who must adhere to strict safety regulations while requiring the durability to handle physical labor.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, particularly the 4XL, we recommend considering your layering requirements. If you intend to wear thermal leggings underneath during the winter months, ensure you allow for the extra volume to maintain full mobility. Correct sizing is also vital to ensure the kneepad pockets sit at the correct height for your joints.

Caring for your product

To preserve the life of the garment and its safety certifications, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the fabric fibres and diminish the fluorescent properties of the yellow dye over time.

Bleaching agents must be strictly avoided. These chemicals are too harsh for high-visibility fabrics and will strip the colour and reflective performance, rendering the trousers non-compliant with safety standards.

These trousers should not be tumble dried, as the heat can cause shrinkage and damage the integrity of the reflective tape. Instead, they should be drip-dried on a line. Furthermore, do not iron this garment; the synthetic polyester content and reflective elements are heat-sensitive and could melt under direct contact.

Please be aware that these trousers are certified for a maximum of 50 washes. After this point, the high-visibility performance may no longer meet the required safety standards, and the garment should be replaced to ensure your continued protection on site.
