Design & Performance
The performance of these trousers is rooted in the Kingsmill fabric technology. By blending a high percentage of cotton with polyester, the material offers a natural feel against the skin while benefitng from the tear-resistance and crease-recovery properties of synthetic fibres. This medium-weight fabric is substantial enough to withstand the rigours of a construction site or workshop, yet remains comfortable for all-day wear.
The inclusion of reinforced knee pad pockets is a critical design element for health and safety. Furthermore, the hook and loop fastenings at the hem allow the wearer to adjust the trouser length and fit, ensuring the garment doesn't interfere with footwear or become a trip hazard.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Portwest Texo Trousers are an excellent canvas for your corporate identity. For a sophisticated and durable finish, we recommend embroidery. This is particularly effective for company logos or staff names positioned on the pocket flaps or thigh area, providing a professional appearance that withstands industrial laundering.
If you require larger, high-impact branding, our thermal printing process is also available. All customisation is carried out at our dedicated facility in Telford, where our expert team, drawing on decades of experience, ensures your branding is applied with precision and care.
Use Cases
These trousers are designed for professionals across a variety of sectors, including construction, plumbing, electrical engineering, and facility maintenance. Their smart appearance also makes them suitable for supervisors and site managers who require garments that are practical for site visits but look professional in meetings.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider that the half-elasticated waistband provides some flexibility; however, for those who frequently carry heavy tools in their pockets, we recommend using a sturdy belt to maintain the correct fit. If you are using knee pads, ensure they are correctly seated in the internal pockets before starting work to maximise protection.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and professional appearance of these trousers, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove heavy dirt and oils without causing excessive wear to the cotton fibres or the custom branding.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach will weaken the fabric's tensile strength and cause the black pigment to fade prematurely, significantly shortening the life of the trousers.
For a crisp finish, the trousers can be ironed at a maximum temperature of 150°C. This helps to reset the fibres and keep the garment looking sharp. Professional dry cleaning is also an option using Tetrachloroethene for those dealing with specific industrial stains that require specialised treatment.
