Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Jacket (3L) is a technical powerhouse designed for those who require uncompromising protection against the elements. Engineered from high-specification 3-layer soft-touch fabric, this jacket offers a superior balance of waterproof integrity and breathability. Unlike standard rainwear, the triple-layer construction provides a robust barrier while maintaining a lightweight profile, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable during intensive physical activity in adverse conditions.
Key Features
- Seven functional pockets: Provides ample storage for essential tools and personal items, ensuring they remain secure and accessible throughout the working day.
- Superior 2-way zip: Offers increased flexibility and ventilation options, allowing you to adjust the fit for comfort when sitting or climbing.
- 3-Layer technical fabric: The bonding of a stretch outer, a PU membrane, and a tricot backing ensures maximum durability and weather resistance without the bulk of traditional linings.
- High-visibility orange: Ensures you remain clearly visible in low-light environments or hazardous weather conditions, meeting essential safety requirements.
Design & Performance
The performance of this jacket lies in its sophisticated material composition. It features Portwest Extreme fabric, which utilises a 100% Polyester Stretch 75D x 75D Twill. This outer layer is bonded to a high-performance PU membrane and finished with a 100% Polyester 30D Tricot. This specific 3L (three-layer) construction means the garment is exceptionally breathable, allowing moisture vapour to escape while preventing water ingress from the outside.
The stretch properties of the twill fabric ensure that the jacket moves with the wearer, reducing restriction during complex manual tasks. The soft-touch finish provides a more premium feel compared to standard rigid rainwear, making it a preferred choice for long-shifts in unpredictable British weather.

Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for professionals in the construction, civil engineering, and transport sectors where high visibility is a safety mandate. Practical Advice
As a technical 3-layer shell, this jacket is designed for versatility. For colder winter months, we recommend layering it over a high-quality fleece or thermal base layer. This allows you to manage your body temperature effectively while the jacket handles the wind and rain. Ensure you select the correct size to allow for this layering without restricting movement.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance waterproof and breathable properties of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Failure to do so can damage the internal membrane and reduce the garment's lifespan.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Excessive heat can degrade the PU membrane and the reflective tapes. Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 50 washes to ensure the high-visibility standards are maintained.
Do not use bleach, as this will destroy the orange pigment and the reflective properties of the tape. The jacket should not be tumble dried; instead, use drip line drying to allow the fabric to recover its shape naturally. Do not iron or dry clean, as the intense heat and chemicals will permanently damage the technical layers and the bonded seams.
