Product Overview

The Hi-Vis Breathable Rain Traffic Jacket is an expertly engineered garment designed for those who require maximum protection from the elements without sacrificing comfort. Built to provide unrivalled foul weather protection, this jacket is certified to high waterproof and breathable standards, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable even during prolonged shifts in adverse conditions. Its lightweight construction makes it a versatile choice for active professionals who need to move freely while remaining highly visible.

Key Features
  • Detachable Concealed Hood: Provides immediate protection when the weather turns, with the ability to be neatly stored away when not required for a more streamlined appearance.
  • Multiple Storage Pockets: Generous pocket space allows for the secure and organised storage of essential tools and personal items.
  • Integrated Radio Loop: Specifically designed to hold communication devices securely, ensuring they are always within reach for site coordination.
  • Internal Mesh Lining: Enhances wearer comfort by improving airflow and providing a layer of warmth without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Stain-Resistant Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel dirt and oil, helping to maintain the professional appearance and high-visibility properties of the jacket over time.

Design & Performance

This jacket is constructed from a robust 300D Oxford weave polyester, a fabric chosen for its exceptional durability and resistance to abrasion. The material features a double PU coating, which creates a formidable barrier against water ingress while remaining breathable. This balance is critical for preventing the build-up of internal moisture, which can lead to discomfort during physical exertion.

Despite its hardwearing nature, the jacket feels lightweight and agile. Every detail, from the functional pocket placement to the quality of the stitching, has been considered to ensure the garment performs under the pressure of a demanding work environment. The vibrant orange hue ensures compliance with safety protocols and provides excellent contrast against various backgrounds.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

For a professional and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names. This method provides a high-quality, textured look that withstands the rigours of daily wear and industrial washing. If your requirements involve larger, more striking graphics on the back of the jacket, our high-definition print services offer a bold and clear result.

Our dedicated in-house team at our Telford facility handles every stage of the process. With our heritage dating back to 1976, we have the technical expertise to ensure your branding is applied precisely, maintaining the integrity of the waterproof fabric while enhancing your team's professional identity.

Use Cases

This jacket is primarily intended for professionals working in traffic management, construction, and site-based logistics. Its breathable properties make it suitable for roles that involve constant movement, while its high-visibility certification makes it an essential requirement for anyone working near moving vehicles or in low-light conditions.

Practical Advice

The lightweight nature of this jacket makes it an excellent outer shell for layering. On colder days, we suggest wearing it over a medium-weight fleece or sweatshirt. This allows you to manage your body temperature effectively while ensuring the waterproof outer layer remains your primary defense against rain and wind.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety certifications of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. A mild washing process at a maximum temperature of 40°C is recommended. Using a gentle cycle helps to preserve the waterproof PU coating and ensures the stain-resistant finish continues to function correctly.

Bleaching must be avoided at all costs. Harsh chemicals such as bleach will strip the high-visibility pigments from the fabric and degrade the reflective tape, rendering the garment unsafe for site use. Similarly, this jacket should not be tumble dried; heat can damage the synthetic fibers and the waterproof membrane. Instead, we recommend drip line drying.

Do not iron or dry clean this garment. High heat from an iron will melt the technical polyester and the PU coating. Finally, please be aware that this garment has a maximum limit of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility and waterproof properties may fall below the required safety standards, and the jacket should be replaced to ensure continued protection.
