Product Overview

The S617 Hi-Vis Baffle Jacket is a sophisticated and lightweight solution for professionals who require high visibility without the restrictive weight of a traditional heavy coat. This jacket balances safety and comfort through its intelligent design, featuring a striking Orange and Black contrast that remains functional in a variety of working environments. Engineered for the modern tradesperson, it provides a streamlined fit while ensuring you remain conspicuous in low-light conditions.

Key Features
  • Sewn-on Reflective Tape: High-quality reflective strips are securely attached to ensure you remain visible to vehicles and machinery operators, significantly enhancing site safety.
  • Bio-motion Tape Layout: The tape is positioned to highlight the human form during movement, making it easier for others to identify you as a person at a distance.
  • Polyester Ripstop Outer: This durable weave is designed to resist tearing and snagging, ensuring the jacket survives the daily rigours of a busy workplace.
  • Lightweight Thermal Insulation: Offers significant warmth without the bulk, allowing for better mobility and comfort during active shifts.
  • Water-Resistant Solution: The outer fabric helps to repel light rain and drizzle, keeping you dry and focused on the task at hand.
  • Print Access: Specifically designed with customisation in mind, allowing for easy application of company branding.

Design & Performance

This jacket is built for performance in demanding outdoor environments. The polyester ripstop outer fabric is a critical feature; its reinforced construction ensures that if a small puncture occurs, the tear is contained rather than spreading across the garment. This durability is paired with an ultrasoft interior that feels comfortable against the skin or over base layers.

The thermal insulation is effectively distributed within the baffle design to prevent cold spots, providing consistent warmth in chilly conditions. Despite its protective qualities, the jacket remains exceptionally lightweight, making it an ideal choice for those who are constantly on the move and find traditional hi-vis parkas too cumbersome.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The S617 is an excellent canvas for your company identity. Because it includes dedicated print access, it is particularly well-suited for large, bold printed designs on the back or chest, which is ideal for maximum brand exposure. For those seeking a more traditional and prestigious look, embroidery is a superb choice for smaller chest logos or individual staff names.

Our expert team at MyWorkwear has been handling technical customisation since 1976. Every garment is processed at our facility in Telford, where we ensure that your branding is applied with the precision required to maintain a professional appearance throughout the life of the jacket.

Use Cases

This jacket is perfectly suited for site supervisors, logistics coordinators, and delivery drivers who need to move between vehicles and outdoor sites. It provides the necessary visibility for safety compliance while offering a modern, professional look that is appropriate for client-facing roles.

Practical Advice

The baffle construction provides a modern, closer-to-body fit. If you intend to wear this jacket over a thick sweatshirt or multiple layers during the winter months, we recommend reviewing our size guide or considering a larger size to maintain full range of movement in your arms and shoulders.

Caring for your product

To ensure this jacket continues to provide maximum protection and maintains its professional look, regular maintenance is required. Keeping the reflective tape clean is vital; if the tape becomes obscured by dirt or grease, its ability to reflect light is diminished, which compromises your safety on-site.

We recommend following the specific washing instructions found on the internal label to preserve the water-resistant finish and the integrity of the ripstop fabric. Avoid using biological detergents or bleach, as these can break down the technical fibres and fade the high-visibility colour.

Always allow the garment to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Using a tumble dryer can damage the thermal insulation and cause the reflective tape to lose its adhesion or become brittle over time.
