Product Overview

The Nimbus Womens Northdale is a sophisticated winter jacket designed for those who require a professional appearance without sacrificing technical performance. It successfully blends the aesthetic of luxury urban business wear with the practical requirements of a heavy-duty winter garment. Crafted with sustainability as a core priority, it features recycled polyester throughout the shell, lining, and padding. This jacket is not merely a piece of outerwear; it is a well-engineered solution for professionals navigating cold, wet, and windy environments during the winter months.

Key Features
  • Warm Padded Hood: Provides essential thermal insulation and protection for the head and neck, ensuring comfort in harsh weather conditions.
  • Integrated TPU Membrane: Offers a water resistance rating of 3,000mm, ensuring you remain dry during heavy rainfall.
  • Critically Taped Seams: Strategically placed tape prevents water ingress at the garment's most vulnerable points, enhancing its overall waterproof integrity.
  • YKK Main Zip: Features a high-quality, reliable zip for smooth operation and long-term durability in daily use.
  • Sustainable Materials: Utilises recycled polyester twill and Sugenro padding, reducing environmental impact while maintaining superior warmth.

Design & Performance

The Northdale jacket is engineered with a focus on durability and breathability. The outer fabric is a recycled polyester twill that offers a refined texture and a robust barrier against the wind. Beneath this layer, a technical TPU membrane provides an excellent balance of weatherproofing and breathability, allowing moisture to escape so you remain comfortable during active use.

The garment is finished with a Bionic Finish ECO water-repellent coating. This environmentally friendly treatment ensures that water beads off the surface rather than soaking into the fabric, maintaining the jacket's lightweight feel even in wet conditions. The internal Sugenro padding provides a substantial level of warmth without excessive bulk, allowing for a flattering, feminine silhouette that fits perfectly into a corporate wardrobe.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Northdale jacket is an excellent canvas for high-quality customisation. For a refined professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team, operating since 1976, uses state-of-the-art machinery to ensure that company logos and staff names are rendered with precision and durability, making it an ideal choice for corporate branding.

If your branding requires larger, more vibrant graphics, this jacket also supports professional printing. This is particularly effective for high-visibility branding on the back or sleeves. Every customisation project is handled in-house by our expert technicians to ensure the technical integrity of the jacket is maintained throughout the process.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideally suited for corporate management, client-facing roles, and urban professionals who spend time commuting or working outdoors. Its elegant design makes it appropriate for business meetings, while its technical specifications ensure it is equally at home on a site visit or at an outdoor corporate event. It is a versatile choice for any business looking to provide staff with a premium, uniform winter layer.

Practical Advice

The Northdale is designed with a feminine fit, ranging from XS to 3XL. Given its padded nature and the likelihood of wearing it over corporate layers like jumpers or blazers, we recommend reviewing the size guide carefully to ensure a comfortable fit. The inclusion of a chin protector and invisible snap buttons are small but significant details that improve the daily wearing experience by preventing irritation and maintaining a clean, streamlined look.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of this technical jacket, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions found on the internal label. Regular maintenance helps preserve the Bionic Finish ECO coating and the integrity of the TPU membrane.

Failure to follow the correct washing procedures can lead to a degradation of the waterproof layers and may cause the recycled padding to clump, reducing the thermal efficiency of the garment. Always ensure the jacket is fully dry before storage to prevent the development of odours and to keep the recycled polyester twill looking its best for years to come.
