Product Overview

The Flexatex Chem Bib and Brace is a specialized protective garment designed for individuals operating in demanding chemical or wet environments. Constructed from advanced Flexatex™ Chem fabric, this bib and brace offers a sophisticated balance between high-level protection and wearer comfort. It is engineered to provide a barrier against liquid aerosols, light sprays, and minor chemical splashes, making it an essential component of a professional safety uniform.

Key Features
  • Certified to the EN 13034 chemical standard, providing verified protection against light mist sprays and liquid aerosols.
  • Integrated antifungal treatment prevents the growth of fungi and bacteria, ensuring the garment remains hygienic and durable in damp conditions.
  • Specific resistance to 10% sodium hydroxide offers critical safety for workers handling common industrial alkaline solutions.
  • Fully waterproof construction paired with a breathable coating ensures you stay dry from the outside without suffering from moisture build-up on the inside.
  • Exceptional tear and tensile strength means the fabric is built to withstand high stress, reducing the risk of rips and ensuring a long service life.

Design & Performance

The performance of this garment is rooted in its 100% Polyester Tricot Knit base, which is treated with a breathable PU coating. This lightweight fabric ensures that the bib and brace does not become a burden during a long shift, maintaining flexibility and allowing for an unrestricted range of motion. The Forest Nights colourway provides a professional and practical appearance, effectively masking the minor stains and splashes common in industrial settings.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team maintains a professional appearance, this bib and brace is fully compatible with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is the ideal choice for adding company logos or individual names, providing a textured, premium finish that is as durable as the garment itself. For larger branding or safety messaging, our high-quality printing process offers bold, sharp results. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility, where we have been perfecting our craft since 1976.

Use Cases

This bib and brace is ideally suited for professionals in chemical processing, laboratory assistance, industrial cleaning, and agriculture. It is particularly effective for any role involving the management of liquid chemicals or where work takes place in high-humidity environments.

Practical Advice

The Flexatex Chem Bib and Brace is designed for layering. We suggest choosing your regular size, as the cut allows for comfortable movement over standard work trousers and base layers. Ensure all straps are properly adjusted to maintain the highest level of splash protection.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance of your bib and brace is vital to ensure its chemical-resistant properties and waterproof integrity are preserved over time.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Exceeding this temperature can compromise the breathable PU coating and weaken the fabric's protective barrier.

Do not use bleach on this garment. Chlorine-based cleaners are highly aggressive and will degrade the chemical-resistant treatments and the structural integrity of the polyester fibres.

This product must not be tumble dried. High heat from mechanical drying can cause the coating to delaminate or melt. Instead, the garment should be drip line dried to allow it to air dry naturally without heat damage.

Ironing is strictly prohibited as direct heat will cause permanent damage to the PU coating. Additionally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemical solvents used in the dry-cleaning process can strip away the antifungal and chemical-resistant finishes.
