Product Overview

The Bizflame Work Two Tone FR Bib and Brace is a meticulously engineered piece of protective equipment designed for professionals operating in environments where flame resistance and anti-static properties are non-negotiable. Constructed from a substantial heavyweight fabric, this bib and brace provides a comprehensive shield without compromising on the wearer's range of motion. The inclusion of high-visibility reflective tape, which is double-stitched for maximum security, ensures that the wearer remains visible in low-light conditions, meeting stringent safety requirements while maintaining a professional aesthetic.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This garment is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional finish on the chest pocket or thigh, providing a durable solution for company logos and staff names that will withstand industrial laundering. For larger, high-impact branding across the back or legs, our high-quality printing process offers a bold alternative. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting garment decoration since 1976.

Key Features

  • Triple Stitched Seams: These provide superior reinforcement at high-stress points, ensuring the garment does not fail during strenuous physical activity.
  • High Visibility Reflective Tape: Double-stitched for longevity, these strips significantly enhance safety by making the wearer visible in high-traffic or dark environments.
  • Adjustable Bottom Leg Opening: This allows for a customisable fit over various types of safety footwear, preventing trips and ensuring a neat appearance.
  • Specialised Pocket System: Features two front patch pockets, a dedicated rule pocket, a front chest pocket, and a flapped back pocket with stud closure for secure tool and personal item storage.

Design & Performance

The performance of this bib and brace is rooted in the Bizflame Work fabric, a sophisticated blend of 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre. The high cotton content ensures the garment is breathable and comfortable for long shifts, while the carbon fibre provides essential anti-static protection. The heavyweight nature of the fabric offers a physical robustness that stands up to the rigours of industrial work. Every detail, from the reinforced seams to the stud-secured pockets, is designed to ensure the garment performs as a piece of functional equipment rather than just a uniform.

Use Cases

This bib and brace is specifically designed for workers in the petrochemical, utility, and flame-risk industries. It is an ideal choice for site engineers, welders, and technicians who require multi-norm protection. Its robust construction also makes it suitable for general construction where enhanced visibility and durability are prioritised over standard workwear.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a trusted partner for UK businesses. Operating from our specialised facility in Telford, we combine decades of technical expertise with a commitment to quality. We understand that your workwear is more than just clothing; it is a critical part of your safety equipment and a reflection of your professional standards.

Practical Advice

Given the heavyweight nature of the Bizflame fabric, we recommend choosing your size carefully to allow for base layers during winter months. The adjustable straps and leg openings offer some flexibility, but ensuring a correct initial fit will prevent the fabric from dragging and causing premature wear at the hems.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance safety characteristics of the Bizflame fabric, consistent care is required. Failure to follow these instructions can lead to a degradation of the flame-resistant and anti-static properties, potentially compromising your safety.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This temperature is effective at removing heavy oils and dirt without damaging the integrity of the cotton fibres or the carbon grid.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will chemically strip the flame-resistant treatment from the fabric and damage the reflective tape, rendering the garment non-compliant with safety standards.

Tumble drying should be performed on a low setting. Excessive heat in the dryer can cause the natural cotton fibres to shrink, which may affect the fit and comfort of the garment over time.

If ironing is required, use a maximum temperature of 150°C. This ensures the garment looks professional without scorching the protective fibres. Do not dry clean this item, as the chemical solvents used in the process can interfere with the protective finishes applied to the fabric.
