Product Overview

The P100 FFP1 Respirator is a fundamental piece of Personal Protective Equipment designed to provide reliable respiratory protection in environments where non-toxic particulates are present. Supplied in a pack of 20, these respirators utilize a classic cup-shaped design that offers a generous internal volume, making it easier for the wearer to breathe and communicate without the material pressing against the face. While it may not filter out your colleague's questionable choice of lunch, it is highly effective at maintaining a barrier against common workplace irritants.

Key Features

  • Cup-Shaped Design: This structural shape ensures the mask remains away from the mouth, providing better airflow and reducing the 'claustrophobic' feeling sometimes associated with flat-fold alternatives.
  • Adjustable Nose Clip: The integrated metal clip allows the wearer to custom-contour the respirator to the bridge of their nose, which is essential for achieving a secure seal and prevents the frustrating fogging of safety eyewear.
  • FFP1 Protection Rating: Specifically engineered to filter out non-toxic particles, making it an ideal choice for basic site safety and domestic maintenance tasks.
  • Soft PU Foam Detail: Includes internal foam padding to ensure the contact point on the nose remains comfortable even during extended shifts.

Design & Performance

Constructed from lightweight Polypropylene (PP) with internal PU foam, these respirators are designed for durability throughout a single shift. The material is substantial enough to hold its shape under the pressure of inhalation, yet remains breathable. Performance is centred on the FFP1 filtration standard, which is particularly suited for capturing larger airborne particles such as pollen and household dust. The white finish ensures any signs of contamination or heavy loading are easily visible, indicating when the mask should be replaced.

Why No Customisation?

As a piece of certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), these respirators are sold as-is to ensure your safety. Any attempt to customise the mask—whether through printing or embroidery—would pierce or saturate the filtration material, immediately voiding the FFP1 certification and compromising the respiratory protection it provides. We prioritize your health and safety over branding on this specific product category.

Use Cases

These respirators are a staple for various trades, including carpenters dealing with non-toxic sawdust, cleaners working in dusty environments, and painters and decorators. They are also widely used by construction workers, plumbers, and those in the veterinary or dental professions where a basic particulate barrier is required to maintain hygiene and comfort.

Practical Advice

For the respirator to work effectively, it must form a tight seal against the skin. We recommend being clean-shaven where the mask meets the face, as even short stubble can break the seal and allow unfiltered air to enter. Always perform a 'fit check' by inhaling sharply; the mask should collapse slightly toward the face, indicating a secure fit.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance of these respirators, they must be stored in a clean, dry environment before use. Leaving them in a damp van or exposed to the elements will degrade the filtration fibres and the elasticity of the headbands, rendering them less effective.

As these are disposable items, they should be discarded after a single shift or sooner if they become damaged, wet, or if breathing becomes difficult. Do not attempt to wash or blow out the dust with compressed air, as this will destroy the structure of the Polypropylene filter and eliminate its protective capabilities.
