Design & Performance
Constructed from Kingsmill Polycotton—a robust blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton—these trousers are built for high performance. The medium-weight fabric is fully pre-shrunk to ensure that the fit remains consistent after multiple wash cycles. One of the standout qualities of this material is its superior dye retention, which prevents the professional black finish from fading, even under heavy use. The fabric's breathability, courtesy of the cotton content, ensures comfort, while the polyester provides the necessary durability to withstand daily wear and tear.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The ES1 Essential Work Trouser is highly suitable for both print and embroidery, making it a versatile choice for company branding. Embroidery is the preferred method for a sophisticated, durable finish on logos and staff names, providing a professional appearance that lasts the lifetime of the garment. For larger, high-impact branding or promotional designs, our high-quality print processes offer a bold and clear finish. Since 1976, our expert team in Telford has been providing in-house customisation, ensuring every piece of workwear meets our exacting standards.
Use Cases
These trousers are an excellent choice for tradespeople, warehouse staff, and maintenance professionals. The scratch-free nature of the design makes them particularly well-suited for automotive technicians, furniture installers, or anyone working in proximity to finished surfaces where metal fastenings could cause damage.

Practical Advice
To ensure the best fit, we recommend considering the half-elasticated waistband, which provides a degree of flexibility—helpful when moving between different tasks or layering over base layers in colder months. When choosing knee pads, ensure they are compatible with standard internal compartments to maximise protection and comfort.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and appearance of these trousers, we recommend a maximum wash temperature of 60°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove heavy soiling while preserving the fabric's pre-shrunk properties and dye retention.
Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will break down the polyester-cotton fibres and strip the colour from the garment. For drying, while these trousers can be tumble dried on a normal setting, we suggest drip line drying to further extend the life of the fabric and maintain the garment's shape.
If ironing is required, ensure the iron does not exceed 150°C to prevent heat damage to the synthetic fibres. For persistent stains or professional maintenance, these trousers are suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene.
