Product Overview
The DX4 Rain Jacket represents a significant advancement in technical outerwear for the modern workforce. Engineered with a focus on high-performance mobility, this jacket utilizes 4-way dynamic stretch fabric to provide a garment that moves with the wearer rather than against them. Designed for year-round utility, it offers comprehensive waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection, ensuring that environmental conditions do not dictate your productivity on site.
Key Features
- 4-Way Dynamic Stretch: This high-stretch fabric allows for maximum flexibility, ensuring the jacket adapts to complex movements during physical labor.
- EN 343 Class 4:4 Certification: This provides the highest level of waterproof and breathable protection, keeping you dry in torrential conditions while allowing internal moisture to escape.
- Ergonomic Raglan Sleeves: The sleeve construction is designed to provide an unrestricted range of motion, which is essential for tasks requiring overhead reaching or constant movement.
- Adjustable Hood and Wind Cuffs: These features provide a secondary line of defense against driving rain and wind, allowing for a personalized, secure fit.
- Extended Back Length: The drop-tail design ensures continued coverage when bending or kneeling, preventing exposure to the elements.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Portwest Extreme fabric, this jacket features a durable 150D polyester stretch outer shell with a PU membrane. This combination results in a lightweight yet robust barrier against the weather. The internal 100% polyester mesh lining serves a critical role in moisture management, promoting airflow and preventing the fabric from clinging to the skin or mid-layers when the heart rate rises. The All Black aesthetic provides a clean, professional profile that masks the inevitable grime of a working day while maintaining a sharp appearance for client-facing scenarios.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The DX4 Rain Jacket is an excellent candidate for professional branding. For a more formal and permanent finish, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team can apply high-density thread logos to the chest or sleeves, which provides a traditional, executive appearance that withstands the rigours of outdoor work. If your requirement involves large, high-visibility branding or complex graphics, our precision printing process offers a vibrant, bold finish. Having managed customisation in-house since 1976, we ensure that the application of your logo does not compromise the technical integrity of the waterproof membrane.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for site managers, surveyors, and tradespeople who require a professional appearance without sacrificing technical performance. Its breathable nature makes it suitable for active roles in construction, logistics, and engineering where the wearer is moving between indoor and outdoor environments.

Practical Advice
As this is a technical rain shell, it is designed with an ergonomic profile. For colder winter months, we suggest pairing it with a moisture-wicking base layer and a mid-weight fleece. The raglan sleeves ensure that even with these layers, your movement remains fluid. If you are frequently between sizes, the adjustable elements of this jacket allow for a degree of flexibility in fit.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance waterproof membrane and the breathability of the fabric, specific care is required. Maintaining the garment correctly will ensure it remains effective for years to come.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Using harsh detergents can strip the water-repellent finish, so a liquid detergent designed for technical outerwear is preferred.
Do not use bleach on this garment. Bleach will permanently damage the polyester fibers and the PU membrane, rendering the waterproof properties useless.
The jacket should not be tumble dried. High heat can cause the technical fabric to delaminate or shrink. Instead, use a drip line dry method, which allows the garment to regain its shape naturally without heat stress.
Do not iron this jacket. The heat from an iron will melt the synthetic fibers and the internal waterproof tapes. Given the stretch nature of the fabric, creases will typically fall out naturally when hung correctly.
