Product Overview

The WX2 Eco Rain Jacket represents a significant step forward in professional workwear, combining high-level protection from the elements with a clear commitment to environmental responsibility. Engineered to withstand the rigours of the British weather, this jacket is constructed from 100% recycled polyester, offering a substantial barrier against wind and rain without compromising on wearer comfort. The black colourway provides a clean, uniform appearance that remains practical in demanding environments where dirt and grease are part of the daily routine.

Key Features
  • Highly waterproof and windproof fabric provides exceptional protection in harsh weather conditions, keeping you dry and focused on the task at hand.
  • The 300D Oxford weave construction offers superior durability and resistance to abrasions, ensuring the garment lasts longer in tough working environments.
  • A roll-away adjustable hood provides versatile protection that can be deployed instantly when the clouds burst or tucked away neatly when the sun returns.
  • Secure zipped pockets offer safe storage for essential tools and personal items, preventing them from falling out or becoming damaged by moisture.
  • A stain-resistant finish helps the jacket maintain its professional appearance by repelling oil and water-based spills.

Design & Performance

At the heart of this jacket is its technical fabric composition. The shell is crafted from 300D Eco 100% Recycled Polyester Oxford Weave. This medium-weight fabric is double PU coated, achieving an EN 343 Class 3:1 X rating with a water penetration resistance of 15,000mm. In practical terms, this means the jacket is not just water-resistant but truly waterproof, capable of withstanding heavy pressure from driving rain.

The interior is finished with a lightweight 190T polyester taffeta lining, which allows the jacket to slide easily over base layers or mid-layers without snagging. The double PU coating provides the primary waterproof barrier, while the stain-resistant finish acts as a first line of defence, ensuring that the recycled fibres do not become saturated or permanently marked by site debris.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Despite its technical coatings, the WX2 Eco Rain Jacket is an excellent canvas for customisation. For companies looking to maintain a high-end corporate identity, embroidery is the preferred choice for chest logos. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, uses industrial-grade machinery to ensure that the embroidery is crisp and durable.

If you require large-scale branding, such as back prints for identification on a busy site, our high-quality printing processes are well-suited to this fabric. We take care to ensure the application doesn't compromise the integrity of the waterproof shell, providing you with a uniform that looks professional and performs exactly as intended.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideally suited for professionals working in construction, logistics, and site management where exposure to the elements is frequent. Its discreet black design also makes it a popular choice for delivery drivers and security personnel who require a smart appearance while staying protected from the rain.

Practical Advice

As this is a rain jacket designed for performance, we recommend layering it over a fleece or sweatshirt in colder months. The fit is designed to allow movement, but ensure you select a size that accommodates your usual work attire underneath without being overly restrictive across the shoulders.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high performance of the waterproof PU coating and the stain-resistant finish, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can prematurely degrade the waterproof barrier.

Do not use bleach, as this will damage the recycled polyester fibres and cause significant discolouration. We also advise against tumble drying; the heat can cause the technical coatings to peel or melt. Instead, the jacket should be drip line dried to allow it to recover its shape naturally.

Finally, do not iron or dry clean this garment. The intense heat of an iron or the harsh chemicals used in dry cleaning will strip the protective finishes and compromise the jacket's ability to keep you dry.
