Product Overview

The Essentials Rainsuit is a classic, two-piece waterproof solution designed to provide dependable protection without the bulk. Finished in a professional Forest Nights colour, this set comprises both a jacket and trousers, offering full-body coverage for those working in unpredictable environments. Its lightweight construction ensures that it can be easily stored or worn over existing workwear when the weather turns.

Key Features

  • Taped seams prevent water penetration through the stitching, ensuring you remain dry in persistent rain.
  • The pack-away adjustable hood provides versatile head protection that can be neatly stowed when not in use.
  • A integrated back vent allows for increased airflow, which is essential for preventing overheating and moisture build-up during physical activity.
  • Inner elasticated cuffs create a secure seal at the wrists, stopping water from running up the sleeves.
  • The trousers feature a fully elasticated waistband and stud-adjustable hems, allowing for a comfortable fit that can be easily pulled over heavy work boots.

Design & Performance

Engineered from 100% Polyester with a PVC coating, this rainsuit is built to withstand wet conditions while remaining flexible. The lightweight nature of the fabric makes it an excellent choice for active roles where heavy waterproofs would be too restrictive. With an EN 343 Class 3:1 certification, the garment provides a verified level of water resistance suitable for professional use.

Storage is well-considered, with two front pockets on the jacket and side access pockets on the trousers, allowing the wearer to reach their inner trouser pockets without removing the rainsuit. This design prioritises efficiency and practicality for the modern tradesperson.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This rainsuit is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to maintain a professional company image even in the worst weather. Embroidery is an excellent choice for creating a permanent, high-quality logo on the jacket chest, while print is often preferred for larger, high-visibility branding on the back. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring that your branding is applied with technical precision.

Use Cases

This suit is ideal for individuals working in landscaping, outdoor maintenance, or general site duties. Its compact nature also makes it a sensible addition to any vehicle's emergency kit for breakdown recovery or unexpected outdoor tasks.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of experience in providing durable and professional clothing to the UK workforce. We operate out of our specialist facility in Telford, where our team of experts ensures every garment meets our high standards for quality and customisation.

Practical Advice

As this is a lightweight shell, we recommend layering it over a fleece or thermal base layer during the winter months. For the best fit, ensure the elasticated waistband is seated comfortably and the hem studs are fastened to prevent the trousers from dragging on wet surfaces.

Caring for your product

To preserve the waterproof integrity of the PVC coating and the taped seams, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures may cause the waterproof layer to delaminate or the seam tape to peel away.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and weaken the protective PVC coating, significantly reducing the lifespan of the suit.

This rainsuit must not be tumble dried or ironed. Direct heat from an iron or the high temperatures found in a dryer will melt the PVC coating and damage the fabric. Instead, the garment should be drip-lined dried to ensure it retains its shape and protective properties.

Finally, do not dry clean this product. The solvents used in the dry cleaning process are too abrasive for the waterproof materials and will compromise the garment's performance.
