Product Overview

Managing thermal comfort in high-temperature environments is an essential requirement for workplace safety and productivity. The CV04 Cooling Head Band is a purposefully engineered accessory designed to provide sustained relief during physical exertion in warm climates. Unlike standard headwear, this garment utilizes specialized material technology to facilitate evaporative cooling, helping the wearer maintain focus without compromising on mobility or comfort.

Key Features

  • Lightweight Construction: The use of breathable fabrics ensures the headband remains comfortable for extended periods without adding unnecessary weight to the head or neck.
  • High Absorption: Integrated super-absorbent fibres efficiently retain moisture to provide hours of cooling effect through natural evaporation.
  • Versatile Fit: The slim profile allows the headband to be worn comfortably under safety helmets and hard hats, or as a standalone item for general heat management.
  • Enhanced Breathability: The bird eye knit outer shell promotes airflow, which is critical for the evaporative process to function effectively.

Design & Performance

The CV04 is constructed with a 100% polyester bird eye knit shell, a fabric chosen for its superior airflow characteristics. This lightweight fabric works in tandem with a filling of super-absorbent fibres. When soaked in water, these fibres lock in moisture; as the air passes through the knit, the resulting evaporation draws heat away from the body.

This design is particularly effective because it does not rely on bulky materials that might interfere with the fit of other Personal Protective Equipment. The result is a discreet yet effective cooling solution that stands up to the rigours of a busy work environment.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Even a functional accessory like a cooling headband can serve as a point of professional branding. This item is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your team's summer kit with your corporate identity.

Embroidery is an excellent choice for a professional finish, typically used for company names or small logos. If you require a larger, more vibrant design that remains flexible, our high-quality printing process is an ideal alternative. Every customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, ensuring the finish meets the standards we have maintained since 1976.

Use Cases

This headband is an essential piece of equipment for construction workers, engineers, and warehouse staff operating in unventilated or outdoor environments. It is equally useful for kitchen staff working near high-heat appliances or for those in the landscaping and agricultural sectors who face prolonged sun exposure.

Why MyWorkwear

MyWorkwear has been a staple of the British workwear industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we combine decades of technical expertise with modern customisation techniques. We understand that workwear needs to be more than just a uniform; it needs to be a functional tool that supports your staff in their daily tasks.

Practical Advice

To activate the cooling properties, simply soak the headband in cold water and gently wring out the excess. For those wearing this under a helmet, ensure the headband is positioned flat against the forehead to avoid creating pressure points or interfering with the helmet's cradle adjustment.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the performance of the super-absorbent fibres is key to the longevity of this product. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the integrity of the polyester knit and the internal cooling core.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach is a harsh chemical that will break down the synthetic fibres and significantly reduce the headband's ability to retain moisture.

This product should be line dried only and must not be tumble dried. The intense, direct heat of a tumble dryer can warp the shape of the headband and damage the absorbent filling. Similarly, do not iron this item, as high heat from an iron will melt the polyester bird eye knit.

Please note that this product is rated for a maximum of 25 washes. Beyond this point, the cooling efficiency of the internal fibres may begin to diminish, and we recommend replacing the item to ensure continued protection against heat stress.
