For the most effective protection, ensure the wheel ratchet is tightened so the helmet does not tilt when you lean forward. If working in particularly cold conditions, a thin, flame-retardant thermal liner can be worn underneath, provided it does not interfere with the fit of the cradle or the seal of the ear muffs.
To maintain the protective properties of your kit, regularly inspect the ABS shell for cracks or signs of stress.
