Product Overview
The Forestry Combi Kit is a comprehensive head protection solution designed for professionals operating in high-risk environments where airborne debris and noise pollution are constant factors. This integrated system combines high-impact head protection, hearing attenuation, and facial shielding into a single, cohesive unit. Crafted from durable materials like ABS and stainless steel, the kit is engineered to withstand the rigours of arboriculture and forestry work while ensuring the wearer remains comfortable throughout the working day.
Key Features
- Vented ABS safety helmet (PS55): The integrated ventilation ports facilitate airflow across the scalp, reducing heat build-up during physically demanding tasks.
- Precision wheel ratchet adjustment: Allows for a secure, customisable fit for head circumferences between 56cm and 63cm, ensuring the helmet remains stable even when moving through dense brush.
- High-performance ABS ear muffs (PW47): These height-adjustable protectors offer significant noise reduction, shielding your hearing from the high-frequency roar of chainsaws and woodchippers.
- Reinforced mesh visor (PS58): The metal mesh design provides essential protection against wood chips and twigs while preventing the fogging issues often associated with solid plastic visors.
Design & Performance
This kit is constructed with a focus on structural integrity and user endurance. The use of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) for the helmet shell and ear muff casings provides exceptional impact resistance without unnecessary bulk. The visor holder is reinforced to maintain its position even under vibration, and the mesh itself is fine enough to catch debris while maintaining excellent peripheral visibility. This is a sturdy, substantial kit that feels reliable on the head, balanced specifically to prevent neck strain during prolonged use.
Why No Customisation?
As a piece of safety-critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this Forestry Combi Kit is supplied without customisation. Modifications such as embroidery or heat-applied transfers can compromise the structural integrity of the ABS shell or interfere with the safety certifications of the components. To ensure your protection remains uncompromised and fully compliant with safety standards, we provide this item in its original, tested form.
Use Cases
This kit is the standard requirement for forestry workers, arborists, and professional grounds maintenance teams. It is equally suited for heavy-duty landscaping projects involving brush cutters, wood chippers, or any machinery where head, ear, and eye protection must be worn simultaneously to meet safety regulations.

Practical Advice
For the most effective protection, ensure the wheel ratchet is tightened so the helmet does not tilt when you lean forward. If working in particularly cold conditions, a thin, flame-retardant thermal liner can be worn underneath, provided it does not interfere with the fit of the cradle or the seal of the ear muffs.
Caring for your product
To maintain the protective properties of your kit, regularly inspect the ABS shell for cracks or signs of stress. Wipe the helmet and ear muffs with a mild detergent and a damp cloth; avoid using harsh solvents or petrol-based cleaners, as these can chemically weaken the plastic and reduce its impact resistance.
Ensure the mesh visor is kept clear of sap and sawdust by brushing it gently with a soft nylon brush. Storing the kit in direct sunlight should be avoided, as prolonged UV exposure can eventually degrade the polymers. If the helmet sustains a significant impact, it must be replaced immediately, regardless of whether damage is visible to the naked eye.
