Product Overview
The Burnley Bib and Brace is a cornerstone of functional workwear, designed to provide comprehensive protection and comfort for those working in demanding environments. Combining a classic silhouette with modern fabric technology, this garment offers a dependable barrier against the rigours of the workshop while maintaining a professional appearance that reflects the quality of your business.
Key Features
- Concealed zip chest pocket: Provides a secure space for essential items such as mobile phones or documentation, ensuring they remain protected from dust and are less likely to be lost during active movement.
- Rule pocket: An integrated, dedicated pocket for measuring tools, allowing for quick access without the need for additional tool belts.
- Back elastication: Offers an adaptive fit that moves with the wearer, providing all-day comfort and preventing the garment from feeling restrictive during bending or lifting tasks.
Design & Performance
This bib and brace is constructed from Kingsmill Polycotton, a sophisticated blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This medium-weight fabric is engineered for high performance, offering the breathability of cotton with the hard-wearing durability of polyester. The material is fully pre-shrunk, meaning you won't be surprised by a reduced fit after the first wash.
Furthermore, the fabric boasts superior dye retention. This ensures that the deep navy colour remains vibrant even after extensive use and repeated laundering. The result is a garment that feels substantial and sturdy, capable of withstanding the daily stresses of manual labour while keeping the wearer comfortable throughout their shift.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Burnley Bib and Brace is an excellent choice for corporate branding. For a sophisticated and permanent finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names on the chest area. The dense weave of the Kingsmill fabric provides a stable foundation for high-quality needlework.
For larger, more impactful designs, our high-definition printing services are ideal for branding on the legs or the back. Our expert in-house team, based in Telford, has been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring that every garment leaves our facility meeting our rigorous standards for precision and durability.
Use Cases
This garment is perfectly suited for a wide range of trades, including mechanical engineering, carpentry, and general maintenance. Its robust construction and practical storage make it an essential choice for warehouse staff and workshop professionals who require reliable body protection without sacrificing mobility.

Practical Advice
The regular fit of this bib and brace allows for effective layering. It can be worn comfortably over a medium-weight sweatshirt or a thermal base layer during colder months. We recommend checking the sizing carefully to ensure the back elastication can provide the intended range of motion.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and professional appearance of your workwear, proper care is vital. Neglecting the manufacturer's instructions can lead to premature fabric degradation and may affect the longevity of your custom branding.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C using a normal process. This temperature is effective for removing stubborn dirt and oils while preserving the integrity of the polycotton fibres.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will cause the colours to fade prematurely and can weaken the fabric structure, leading to tears. For drying, use a low tumble dry setting, though we recommend drip line drying to help the garment maintain its shape and reduce the need for ironing.
If ironing is necessary, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. Excessive heat can damage the synthetic fibres or any printed customisation. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the harsh chemicals used in the process can interfere with the fabric's finish.
