Product Overview
The Bizflame Work Lightweight Insect Repellent FR Coverall is a highly specialized garment designed for professionals who face the dual challenge of hazardous working environments and insect-prone locations. This coverall provides permanent flame resistance alongside an innovative, odourless insect repellent treatment that is bound directly to the fabric fibres. By integrating these protective technologies into a lightweight frame, the garment ensures the wearer remains safe and comfortable without the distraction of biting insects or the weight of traditional heavy-duty workwear.
Key Features
- Inbuilt insect repellent technology provides long-lasting, odourless protection against a wide range of insects, increasing focus and safety in outdoor environments.
- Full flame-resistant protection ensures the wearer is shielded from heat and flame hazards, complying with essential safety norms.
- The lightweight fabric construction offers superior breathability and comfort, making it suitable for long shifts in warmer climates.
- Integrated carbon fibre provides permanent anti-static properties, which is vital for safety in environments where static discharge must be prevented.
Design & Performance
The performance of this coverall is rooted in its material composition of 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre. The high cotton content facilitates natural airflow and moisture management, ensuring the wearer remains cool. The addition of carbon fibre provides the necessary technical safety required for anti-static environments. Because the insect repellent formula is tightly bound to the fibres rather than applied as a surface spray, the protection remains effective through repeated use, maintaining its integrity without the need for additional chemical applications by the user.

Practical Advice
This is a lightweight garment, which makes it an excellent choice for layering. For maximum protection, ensure the coverall is fully fastened and worn over compatible flame-resistant base layers. When selecting your size, consider the range of movement required for your specific tasks to ensure the fabric does not pull or restrict your mobility during the working day.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the protective qualities of this garment is essential for long-term safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the insect repellent bonding and may degrade the flame-resistant properties of the fabric blend.
Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will chemically alter the flame-resistant treatment and weaken the structural integrity of the cotton fibres, rendering the garment unsafe for use in hazardous environments. Tumble drying should be performed on a low setting to minimize shrinkage and preserve the garment's shape.
When ironing, use a maximum temperature of 150°C to avoid damaging the technical carbon fibres. Do not dry clean this product, as the chemical solvents used in the process can strip the specialized repellent and flame-resistant treatments from the fabric.
