Product Overview

The Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis FR Trousers represent a sophisticated integration of safety and climate protection. Specifically engineered for professionals working in hazardous environments during inclement weather, these trousers offer a multi-layered approach to safety. By combining high-visibility standards with flame-resistant properties and full waterproof capabilities, they ensure that the wearer remains both protected and dry in the most demanding outdoor conditions.

Key Features
  • Elasticated Flame-Resistant Braces: These ensure the trousers remain securely in place during vigorous movement, bending, and stretching, providing consistent coverage and comfort.
  • Raised Back Design: The extended back panel offers significant thermal benefits and extra protection against the elements, preventing cold drafts from reaching the lower back.
  • Breathable PU Coating: This technical coating allows internal moisture to escape while preventing rain from entering, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable and dry without overheating.
  • Integrated Carbon Fibre: The inclusion of carbon fibre within the fabric provides essential anti-static properties, which is critical for safety in volatile environments.

Design & Performance

The construction of these trousers centres on the Bizflame Rain HV shell, a high-performance fabric composed of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. This medium-weight material is robust enough to withstand the rigours of industrial use while remaining flexible enough for all-day wear. The internal environment is managed by a lightweight, 100% cotton flame-resistant lining, which provides a soft touch against the skin and an additional layer of thermal insulation.

Every element, from the heat-sealed seams to the high-visibility finish, is designed for longevity. The trousers offer a substantial feel that inspires confidence in their protective capabilities, ensuring that they do not just meet safety standards but exceed the expectations of the wearer in terms of durability and performance.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Maintaining a professional brand identity is straightforward with the Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis FR Trousers. Our Telford-based facility, established in 1976, is equipped to handle both print and embroidery to the highest standards. For these trousers, embroidery is recommended for logos and names, providing a sophisticated and permanent finish that withstands industrial laundering.

Alternatively, for large-scale identification or high-impact branding, print is an excellent choice. Our in-house experts ensure that all customisation processes respect the integrity of the flame-resistant fabric, ensuring your team looks professional without compromising their safety.

Use Cases

These trousers are ideal for workers in the petrochemical, utility, and railway industries, where the risk of flame exposure or static discharge is present alongside the necessity for high-visibility. They are particularly effective for outdoor maintenance crews and site supervisors who require reliable protection from heavy rain and wind during the winter months.

Practical Advice

To ensure maximum protection, these trousers should be worn with a compatible flame-resistant jacket. When choosing your size, consider the layers you will be wearing underneath; the elasticated braces provide a degree of flexibility, but a correct fit is essential to ensure the raised back sits correctly against the spine for optimal warmth.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical performance of your Bizflame trousers requires careful adherence to the following instructions to ensure the flame-resistant and waterproof properties are not compromised.

A domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C on a mild process is recommended. Using a higher temperature or a harsh cycle can degrade the breathable PU coating and the flame-resistant finish over time.

Under no circumstances should you use bleach. Bleaching agents will chemically damage the carbon fibres and the flame-resistant treatment, rendering the safety features of the garment ineffective.

Do not tumble dry or iron these trousers. High heat from a dryer or an iron will melt the waterproof coating and damage the polyester shell. Instead, we recommend drip line drying to preserve the garment's shape and technical integrity. Dry cleaning is also to be avoided as the solvents used can strip away the essential protective coatings.
