Product Overview

The Bizflame Hi-Vis FR Zip Vest is a specialised garment engineered for professionals who require a high level of visibility alongside essential flame-resistant protection. As part of our Flame Resistant Multi-Norm range, this vest is designed to meet rigorous safety standards without compromising on comfort. The vibrant yellow colour ensures you remain conspicuous in daylight, while the integrated technical fibres provide a critical barrier in hazardous environments.

Key Features

  • 5cm wide silver reflective tape: Positioned with two bands around the body and one over each shoulder, this configuration ensures maximum visibility from all angles in low-light conditions.

  • Zip-up front fastening: Unlike traditional hook-and-loop closures, the sturdy zip provides a secure and reliable fit, preventing the vest from coming undone during active movement.

  • Lightweight warp knitted fabric: This material selection ensures the vest is breathable and comfortable, making it an excellent choice for long shifts in warmer temperatures or high-heat environments.

Design & Performance

This vest is constructed from a technical blend of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. The inclusion of carbon fibre is a deliberate engineering choice, providing the garment with permanent anti-static properties that are essential for specific industrial applications. The warp knitted structure offers a durable yet lightweight feel, ensuring the vest remains resilient against the daily wear and tear of a busy site while allowing for excellent air circulation to keep the wearer cool.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Bizflame Hi-Vis FR Zip Vest is an ideal canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for a superior, professional appearance, particularly for company logos and staff names. This method provides a textured, long-lasting finish that stands up well to repeated laundering. For those requiring larger, more prominent graphics, our high-quality printing service offers a bold finish that maintains high visibility.

All customisation is carried out by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a leader in garment decoration, ensuring every piece of workwear we produce meets our exacting standards for quality and durability.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for workers in the energy, construction, and utility sectors where both high visibility and flame resistance are mandatory. It is particularly well-suited for outdoor use during the summer months or for indoor industrial environments where temperatures can rise, and a full protective jacket would be impractical.

Practical Advice

This vest is designed to be worn as an outer layer. When selecting your size, we recommend considering what you will be wearing beneath it; if you intend to layer it over a sweatshirt or light jacket, you may wish to opt for a more generous fit. The zip-front design ensures a more structured fit than standard safety vests, which helps prevent the garment from snagging on equipment.

Caring for your product

To ensure the continued performance of the flame-resistant properties and to maintain the brilliance of the high-visibility fabric, it is vital to follow the care instructions. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace grime while protecting the integrity of the technical fibres and the silver reflective tape.

You must not use bleach, as this will chemically damage the flame-resistant treatment and cause the yellow fabric to fade, reducing its effectiveness as a safety garment. We also advise against tumble drying, ironing, or dry cleaning; high heat and chemical solvents can melt or degrade the synthetic components. Instead, the vest should be drip line dried to maintain its shape and protective functionality for the long term.
