Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Band and Brace Zip Vest provides an advanced solution for those requiring maximum visibility without sacrificing comfort. Unlike standard sleeveless waistcoats, this design incorporates half-sleeves, significantly increasing the surface area of fluorescent fabric and reflective tape to ensure you are seen from more angles. It is a well-engineered garment that replaces standard hook-and-loop tabs with a secure front zip, ensuring the vest remains closed and professional in appearance throughout the working day.
Key Features
- Half-Sleeve Construction: Offers additional high-visibility coverage, providing an extra layer of safety compared to traditional vests.
- Front Zip Fastening: Provides a secure and reliable closure that won't lose its grip like standard alternatives, maintaining a neat fit.
- Zipped Tablet Pocket: Features a dedicated compartment capable of holding tablets up to 10.5 inches (without a case), keeping your technology safe and accessible on-site.
- HiVisTex Reflective Tape: Utilises high-performance reflective material to ensure the wearer stands out clearly under vehicle headlamps or site lighting.
Design & Performance
This vest is manufactured from 100% Polyester Warp Knit, a fabric specifically chosen for its lightweight and breathable properties. This ensure the wearer remains cool even during high-intensity tasks or when working in warmer climates. The warp knit structure offers a durable finish that resists the typical wear and tear found on busy work sites, ensuring the garment remains a staple of your uniform for the long term.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth surface of the warp knit polyester makes this vest an ideal candidate for both print and embroidery. For a formal and authoritative look, we recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names. If you require large, bold branding on the back of the vest for instant recognition, our high-quality printing service is the superior choice. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility, where we have been leading the industry since 1976.
Use Cases
This vest is particularly well-suited for professionals who need to carry tech while remaining visible, such as site managers, surveyors, and security personnel. It is also highly recommended for trades including construction, electrical work, plumbing, and tree surgery, where the half-sleeve design offers that essential bit of extra visibility.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear beneath the vest. If this is intended as a final outer layer over a thick sweatshirt or jacket, you may find that opting for a size larger than your usual fit provides better freedom of movement and comfort during physical tasks.
Caring for your product
To preserve the life of your garment and ensure the reflective tape continues to meet safety standards, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. High-temperature washes can damage the reflective properties of the HiVisTex tape.
You must not use bleach on this garment, as it will destroy the fluorescent dyes and render the high-visibility fabric ineffective. Similarly, avoid tumble drying; instead, line dry the vest to prevent heat damage to the synthetic fibres and the zip mechanism.
Do not iron or dry clean this vest. The heat from an iron will melt the polyester fabric and the reflective tape. Please note that to maintain full safety compliance, this garment should be replaced after a maximum of 50 washes, as the reflective and fluorescent properties will eventually begin to diminish.
