Product Overview

The Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis Contrast FR Winter Coverall is a sophisticated multi-norm garment engineered to provide comprehensive protection in the most demanding industrial environments. Specifically designed with the complexities of the oil and gas industry in mind, this coverall integrates flame resistance, chemical resistance, anti-static properties, and high-visibility requirements into a single, cohesive unit. It is not merely a piece of waterproof clothing; it is a technical barrier against multiple workplace hazards, ensuring the wearer remains dry, warm, and shielded from flash fires or chemical splashes.

Key Features
  • Full front stormflap with touch and grip fastening: This provides a secondary barrier against wind and rain, ensuring water does not penetrate the primary zip in harsh conditions.
  • Detachable hood: Offers flexibility for different weather scenarios or when head protection needs to be streamlined for specific tasks.
  • Dual large cargo thigh pockets and concealed phone pocket: Allows for secure and accessible storage of essential tools and communication devices without compromising the garment's protective integrity.
  • Zipped side openings on the legs: Significantly simplifies the process of putting the coverall on or taking it off over substantial work boots, saving time and effort on site.
  • Reflective tape on shoulders and limbs: Ensures maximum visibility from all angles, which is vital in low-light winter conditions or high-traffic industrial zones.

Design & Performance

The construction of this coverall relies on the advanced Bizflame Rain HV fabric, a sophisticated blend of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. This specific composition provides the essential anti-static properties required in volatile atmospheres while maintaining a breathable PU coating that prevents the build-up of internal moisture. The garment's exterior is sturdy and substantial, designed to withstand the rigours of heavy industry without sacrificing necessary mobility.

Thermal performance is managed by a flame-resistant modacrylic filling, providing significant warmth during the winter months. This is complemented by a 100% cotton flame-resistant lining, which ensures comfort against the body and maintains the overall protective rating of the garment. The contrast orange and navy design is not only practical for hiding dirt in high-wear areas but also ensures compliance with stringent high-visibility standards.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your workforce remains identifiable and professional, this coverall supports both print and embroidery customisation. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, has decades of experience in applying branding to technical fabrics without compromising their protective properties.

Embroidery is recommended for a refined, professional finish, typically used for company logos or individual names. For larger, more prominent branding on the back of the coverall, print offers a bold and clear solution. Given the technical nature of the Bizflame fabric, our experts ensure that any customisation is applied with precision, maintaining the garment's flame-resistant and waterproof capabilities.

Use Cases

This coverall is primarily intended for professionals in the oil and gas sector, where multi-hazard protection is a mandatory safety requirement. It is equally suited for utility workers, offshore engineers, and petrochemical technicians who operate in cold, wet, and hazardous environments where static discharge or flame exposure is a constant risk.

Practical Advice

As this is a winter-lined coverall, it is designed with a generous fit to accommodate internal layers. When selecting your size, consider the clothing you will be wearing underneath to ensure full range of motion. The zipped leg openings are particularly useful when wearing heavy-duty safety boots, allowing for a seamless transition from the changing room to the work site.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical performance of this multi-norm coverall is essential for ongoing safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles may degrade the flame-resistant treatments and the breathable PU coating over time.

Do not use bleach, as chlorine-based agents will destroy the flame-resistant properties and significantly weaken the fabric structure. The garment should not be tumble dried; instead, it must be drip-lined dried. Excessive heat from a tumble dryer or an iron can damage the reflective tape and the carbon fibre components that provide essential anti-static protection.

Dry cleaning should be avoided entirely, as the chemical solvents used can strip the garment of its protective coatings and decrease its effectiveness in hazardous situations.
