Product Overview

The Araflame Work Lightweight FR Coverall represents a sophisticated balance between high-level protection and wearer comfort. Engineered for demanding environments where fire safety is non-negotiable, this coverall utilizes a super lightweight fabric that remains soft and breathable throughout long shifts. Despite its lack of bulk, it provides exceptional tear and tensile strength, ensuring it can withstand the rigours of industrial use without compromising on safety standards.

Key Features

  • Triple-Stitched Seams: Reinforced stitching throughout the garment significantly increases its longevity, ensuring the coverall does not fail at the seams under physical stress.
  • Integrated Waist Elastication: This design choice facilitates a greater range of motion and ease of movement, which is essential for workers navigating complex site environments.
  • Secure Pockets: Strategically placed pockets offer safe and reliable storage for essential tools and personal items, keeping them accessible but protected.
  • Inherent Flame Resistance: The protection is built into the fabric itself, meaning it will not wash out or diminish over time, providing consistent safety for the life of the garment.

Design & Performance

The performance of this coverall is driven by the Araflame fabric, a technical blend consisting of 93% Meta Aramid, 5% Para Aramid, and 2% Carbon Fibre. This combination is engineered to be exceptionally strong yet surprisingly lightweight. The Aramid fibres provide the core thermal stability and strength, while the Carbon Fibre elements offer anti-static properties, making this a well-engineered solution for high-risk zones. The fabric's breathability is a deliberate design feature, helping to manage the wearer's core temperature in hot industrial settings like refineries or offshore platforms.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This coverall is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. For a superior, permanent finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos or staff names; it provides a professional appearance that stands up well to industrial laundering. If you require large, bold branding that needs to be highly visible across the site, our print services are an excellent alternative.

All customisation is handled by our expert in-house team based in Telford. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of experience ensuring that your branding is applied precisely without compromising the integrity of technical fabrics like Araflame.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals working in the oil and gas sectors, the petrochemical industry, and any environment where there is a risk of heat or flame exposure. Its lightweight nature makes it particularly suitable for those working in warmer climates or high-temperature indoor facilities where heavier alternatives might lead to heat stress.

Practical Advice

Given the lightweight nature of this coverall, it is an excellent choice for layering. On colder days, it can be comfortably worn over moisture-wicking base layers without feeling restrictive. We recommend checking our size guides carefully to ensure the elasticated waist sits correctly for maximum mobility.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the integrity of flame-resistant fabrics is vital for continued safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C using a normal process. Washing at this temperature ensures the removal of industrial contaminants while preserving the fabric's protective properties.

You must not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents can damage the technical fibres and may adversely affect the flame-resistant performance of the Araflame fabric.

Tumble drying should be performed on a low setting. Excessive heat in the dryer can cause unnecessary shrinkage and stress on the reinforced triple stitching. When ironing, ensure the temperature does not exceed 150°C to prevent damage to the synthetic fibres.

Finally, do not dry clean this coverall. The chemicals used in the dry-cleaning process can leave residues on the fabric that might interfere with its flame-resistant capabilities.
