Product Overview

The Araflame Work Lightweight FR Coverall is a technically advanced solution for professionals operating in environments where heat and flame protection are paramount. Engineered to provide high-level resistance without the bulk of traditional protective gear, this garment is designed for comfort during long shifts in demanding conditions. Its construction prioritises safety through inherent fabric properties, ensuring the wearer is protected against multiple industrial hazards.

Key Features

  • Triple-Stitched Seams: The inclusion of triple stitching throughout the garment ensures exceptional tensile strength and durability, preventing seam failure in high-stress areas.
  • Waist Elastication: This design feature provides a secure fit while allowing for essential ease of movement, reducing restriction when bending or reaching.
  • Secure Storage: Multiple secure pockets are integrated into the design, providing safe and accessible storage for tools and personal equipment in hazardous zones.
  • Breathable Protection: The fabric is engineered to be soft and breathable, allowing for effective moisture management and temperature regulation without compromising safety standards.

Design & Performance

At the core of this coverall is the Araflame fabric, a sophisticated blend of 93% Meta Aramid, 5% Para Aramid, and 2% Carbon Fibre. This combination produces a lightweight fabric that is inherently flame resistant, meaning the protective qualities are built into the fibre and cannot be washed or worn away. The addition of carbon fibre provides permanent anti-static protection, which is vital in volatile atmospheres.

Performance is further enhanced by the fabric's high tear resistance. Despite its lightweight feel, the material is incredibly robust, capable of withstanding the rigours of industrial environments such as oil rigs or petrochemical plants. The navy colour provides a classic, professional appearance that resists visible staining, maintaining a professional image for the wearer.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Personalising your protective equipment is essential for maintaining corporate identity and professional standards. This coverall is compatible with both print and embroidery customisation, both of which are handled in-house by our expert team in Telford. Embroidery is highly recommended for a superior finish on logos and names, providing a durable and professional look that withstands industrial laundering.

For larger, high-visibility branding or safety information, print customisation offers a sharp and bold finish. Our team, drawing on decades of experience since 1976, ensures that any customisation is applied with technical precision to preserve the integrity of the garment while enhancing your brand presence.

Use Cases

This coverall is specifically engineered for high-risk sectors including the oil and gas industry, petrochemical processing, and utilities. Its lightweight construction makes it particularly effective for those working in warmer climates or high-temperature indoor environments where heat stress is a concern alongside flame risks.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layering required for your specific working environment. Because this is a lightweight fabric, it serves as an excellent outer layer over flame-resistant base layers in cooler conditions. Ensure the fit allows for full extension of the arms and legs to take full advantage of the triple-stitched durability.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the cleanliness of flame-resistant garments is crucial, as the build-up of flammable substances can compromise the garment's safety performance. Following the correct care procedure ensures your coverall remains effective for its entire lifespan.

We recommend a machine wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This temperature is effective at removing industrial contaminants without damaging the aramid fibres.

Do not use bleach. Bleaching agents will cause chemical damage to the fibres, which significantly reduces the tensile strength and the flame-resistant properties of the fabric.

Tumble dry on a low setting. High heat during drying can lead to unnecessary fabric stress or shrinkage, which may affect the fit and comfort of the coverall.

Iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C. Pressing the garment helps maintain a crisp, professional appearance, but you must stay within this temperature limit to avoid heat damage.

Do not dry clean. The chemicals used in dry cleaning processes can be detrimental to the specialised fabric blend and may leave residues that interfere with the garment's protective capabilities.
