For those working in cooler environments, it serves as an excellent base layer. However, always ensure that any additional layers worn over the top are also ESD-certified, as non-compliant outer layers can mask the protective properties of the T-shirt and lead to static build-up.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the protective qualities of an ESD garment requires careful laundering. We recommend a domestic wash at no higher than 40°C. Using higher temperatures can stress the carbon fibres and degrade the cotton, which may eventually reduce the garment's ability to dissipate static electricity effectively.

It is essential that you do not use bleach. Bleaching agents are chemically aggressive and will damage the technical carbon elements woven into the fabric, effectively rendering the anti-static properties useless. For professional cleaning, only Tetrachloroethene should be used in a normal process to ensure the fabric's integrity is preserved.

To maintain the T-shirt's shape and technical performance, do not tumble dry. Instead, the garment should be line dried. The intense heat of a tumble dryer can cause the fabric to shrink and may fracture the delicate carbon filaments. If the garment requires pressing, use an iron with a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C to avoid damaging the fibres or any custom branding.
