Product Overview

The Nimbus Harvard v-neck stretch deluxe polo shirt is a sophisticated departure from the standard uniform. It is engineered for professionals who require a garment that bridges the gap between casual comfort and formal elegance. Unlike traditional polo shirts, this design features a unique v-neck and a structured shirt collar stand, which ensures the collar retains its shape even under a jacket or blazer. Constructed from a premium blend of combed organic cotton and elastane, it offers a refined silhouette that doesn't restrict movement, making it an ideal choice for a busy working day.

Key Features

  • Stretch deluxe fitting: The inclusion of elastane allows the garment to follow the body's natural lines, providing a tailored look without the restrictive feel of traditional woven shirts.

  • Shirt collar stand: This architectural detail provides the collar with necessary height and stability, preventing it from collapsing and ensuring you maintain a sharp, professional profile.

  • Combed organic cotton: By using combed fibres, the fabric is smoother and more durable, offering a soft handle against the skin while meeting high environmental and ethical standards.

  • V-neck design: This modern neckline offers an understated sense of originality, providing a stylish alternative to the standard buttoned placket.

Design & Performance

This medium-weight polo shirt is crafted from 95% combed organic cotton and 5% elastane. The 'combing' process removes shorter, pricklier fibres, resulting in a fabric that is remarkably soft yet resilient enough to withstand the rigours of daily wear. The addition of elastane is critical for shape retention; it ensures that the polo does not bag at the elbows or waist, maintaining its professional 'deluxe' fit throughout the week. The fabric's breathability and natural moisture-wicking properties make it a reliable choice for long shifts in climate-controlled environments.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The high-quality, dense weave of the Harvard polo makes it an exceptional canvas for customisation. For a truly professional and 'dressed-up' finish, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, can render complex corporate logos with precision, ensuring the branding remains crisp and secure on the medium-weight fabric. If you require a larger, more impactful design for events or promotional use, the smooth surface of the organic cotton handles high-quality printing with ease, allowing for vibrant colours and sharp lines.

Use Cases

This polo is perfectly suited for corporate environments, high-end hospitality, or premium retail sectors where a standard t-shirt is too casual but a full dress shirt is impractical. Its elegant collar and v-neck design make it an excellent choice for front-of-house staff who need to make a strong first impression. It is also a popular choice for corporate gifting or as part of a high-tier executive uniform.

Why MyWorkwear

At MyWorkwear, we have been perfecting the art of professional clothing since 1976. Operating from our specialized facility in Telford, we combine decades of heritage with modern technology. We understand that your uniform is a reflection of your business standards, which is why every garment we produce is handled by experts who know exactly how to treat premium fabrics like the Nimbus Harvard range.

Practical Advice

The Harvard is designed with a 'deluxe' fit, which is closer to the body than a standard loose-fit polo. If you prefer a more relaxed feel, you may wish to consider moving up one size. It layers exceptionally well under knitwear or a tailored jacket, thanks to that structured collar stand. Available in sizes ranging from Small to 3XL, it caters to a wide variety of team requirements.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and the soft handle of this premium organic cotton blend, careful attention to laundering is required. High-quality garments like this benefit from being turned inside out before washing to protect the outer fibres and any custom embroidery from abrasion.

Using a gentle wash cycle and avoiding harsh chemicals will help preserve the elastane fibres, ensuring the shirt continues to hold its shape. Natural drying is always preferred over high-heat tumble drying, as excessive heat can lead to fibre degradation and potential shrinkage, particularly in organic cotton materials. Following these steps will ensure your investment remains a staple of your work wardrobe for a considerable time.
