Product Overview
The Kariban Jersey knit polo shirt represents a refined take on traditional workwear, bridging the gap between a standard t-shirt and a classic pique polo. Constructed from high-quality jersey knit fabric, this garment offers a smoother, softer handle that prioritises comfort without compromising on a professional silhouette. The inclusion of a shirt-style collar and a placket featuring three metal buttons elevates the aesthetic, providing a more sophisticated appearance suitable for modern business environments.
Key Features
- Three Metal Button Placket: The use of metal buttons provides a robust and premium alternative to standard plastic, ensuring longevity and a secure fastening.
- Jersey Knit Construction: Unlike traditional pique, this jersey knit offers a smooth surface that is exceptionally comfortable against the skin and provides an ideal canvas for branding.
- Shoulder Yoke: This structural feature reinforces the upper portion of the garment, helping the polo maintain its shape even after repeated wear and industrial laundering.
- Ribbed Cuffs: The knitted cuffs ensure the sleeves remain securely in place and retain their elasticity over time.
- Twin-needle Hem: A double-stitched finish at the hem provides a clean look and prevents the fabric from unravelling or curling at the edges.
Design & Performance
Engineered for both comfort and durability, the primary fabric is a high-grade combed cotton. Combing the cotton removes shorter fibres and impurities, resulting in a stronger, smoother yarn that feels substantial yet breathable. The medium-weight fabric is substantial enough to hold its shape throughout a busy shift while remaining flexible enough for active roles. Furthermore, this garment is produced under several ethical standards, including BSCI and Oeko-Tex certification, ensuring that your workwear meets rigorous social and environmental requirements.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth, consistent surface of the jersey knit makes this polo an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names, as the stable fabric provides a secure foundation for high-stitch-count designs, resulting in a professional, textured finish. For larger, more complex graphics or promotional messaging, our high-quality printing processes produce sharp, vibrant results on this specific material.
Our in-house production team, based in Telford, has been perfecting customisation since 1976. We handle every stage of the process to ensure your branding is applied with precision and care, maintaining the integrity of the garment while making your team stand out.
Use Cases
This polo is versatile enough for a variety of sectors, including hospitality, customer service, and corporate environments. It is particularly effective for staff who require a smart-casual uniform that remains comfortable during long shifts. The refined finish also makes it an excellent choice for representatives attending trade shows or client meetings where a professional appearance is non-negotiable.

Practical Advice
Given the jersey knit construction, this polo is slightly more flexible than a traditional pique. It layers exceptionally well under a sweatshirt or softshell jacket in colder conditions without adding unnecessary bulk. We recommend reviewing the size guide carefully, as the range extends from Small to 3XL to accommodate various team requirements.
Caring for your product
To maintain the appearance and performance of your polo shirt, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is effective for removing daily grime while protecting the cotton fibres and any custom branding from premature wear.
Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will degrade the natural cotton fibres and cause significant discolouration to both the fabric and your embroidered or printed logo.
When drying, use a low-temperature setting. High heat can lead to shrinkage and may damage the adhesive used in certain printing processes. For the best results, reshape the garment while damp and allow it to dry naturally.
Iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C to remove creases. We advise ironing the garment inside out, particularly over printed or embroidered areas, to prevent direct heat from compromising the customisation.
Do not use solvents or dry-clean this garment, as the chemicals involved can strip the fabric of its natural softness and negatively affect the longevity of your branding.
