Product Overview
The Kariban KB264 represents a sophisticated take on the traditional long-sleeve polo shirt, bridging the gap between casual comfort and professional utility. Unlike standard piqué polos, this garment is constructed from a jersey knit fabric. This results in a smoother, more refined surface that feels closer to a high-quality t-shirt while maintaining the authoritative silhouette of a collared shirt. The use of combed cotton ensures that shorter, coarser fibres have been removed during the spinning process, leaving a soft, strong, and durable material that stands up to the rigours of a daily work schedule.
Key Features
- Three Metal Button Placket: The inclusion of metal buttons provides a more robust and premium finish than standard plastic alternatives, ensuring the fastening remains secure over time.
- Shoulder Yoke: This structural feature provides additional reinforcement across the upper back and shoulders, helping the garment retain its shape even during active tasks.
- Ribbed Cuffs: Well-engineered ribbed cuffs ensure the sleeves stay in place at the wrist, preventing interference during manual work and providing a neat, consistent appearance.
- Twin-needle Hem: A twin-needle finish at the hem provides a clean aesthetic and prevents the fabric from unravelling, extending the lifespan of the garment through repeated wash cycles.
- Accredited Standards: Being Oeko-Tex, BSCI, and Sedex certified, this shirt meets high standards for both textile safety and ethical manufacturing practices.
Design & Performance
The performance of the KB264 is rooted in its medium-weight jersey knit construction. Because it uses combed cotton, the fabric is notably smoother to the touch, which reduces irritation during long shifts. The design includes a shoulder yoke, a detail often found in formal shirting, which serves to distribute the weight of the garment more evenly and prevents the 'sagging' often seen in lower-quality alternatives.
The fit is designed for the modern professional, offering a clean line through the torso while allowing for a full range of movement. The long sleeves make this an ideal choice for transitional seasons or for environments where extra coverage is required without the bulk of a heavy sweatshirt.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth, tight weave of the jersey knit fabric makes the KB264 a versatile canvas for customisation. For companies seeking a traditional and high-end finish, embroidery is particularly effective on this fabric. The structure of the combed cotton supports dense stitch counts well, ensuring logos remain crisp and clear.
Alternatively, the flat surface of the jersey knit is perfect for print applications. Whether you require large back prints or smaller breast-pocket designs, the lack of a piqué texture allows for a more uniform ink application and sharper detail. Our Telford-based team, who have been perfecting these techniques since 1976, handles all customisation in-house to ensure your branding meets our exacting standards.
Use Cases
This polo is an excellent choice for client-facing tradespeople, retail staff, or corporate teams who require a step up from a standard t-shirt but want to avoid the formality of a woven shirt. It is particularly well-suited for delivery drivers or technicians who need the warmth of long sleeves but require the breathable properties of 100% cotton.

Practical Advice
The KB264 offers a generous size range from S to 3XL. Given the 100% cotton composition of the primary colours, we recommend considering the layering requirements of your team. This shirt works exceptionally well as a base layer under a bodywarmer or fleece during colder months, as the jersey knit provides a slim profile that doesn't bunch under outer layers.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of the jersey knit and your custom branding is straightforward if these technical guidelines are followed. We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures may cause the combed cotton fibres to contract, leading to unwanted shrinkage and potential distortion of your embroidered or printed logo.
Avoid the use of bleach, as this will degrade the cotton fibres and cause significant colour loss. When drying, use a low temperature setting only; excessive heat in a tumble dryer is the primary cause of garment aging and can damage the adhesives used in print customisation.
If ironing is required, ensure the temperature does not exceed 110°C. We strongly advise ironing the garment inside out, especially over any printed areas, to avoid direct heat damage to the branding. Finally, do not use solvents or dry-clean this garment, as chemical treatments can strip the natural oils from the cotton and compromise the finish of the metal buttons.
