Product Overview
The Gildan DryBlend Jersey knit polo is a technically proficient garment designed for professionals who require a balance between traditional aesthetic and modern moisture management. Constructed as a jersey knit rather than a standard piqué, it offers a smoother, softer surface while maintaining the structural integrity required for a workwear environment. The integration of DryBlend technology ensures that the wearer remains comfortable during active shifts, making it a reliable staple for any corporate or trade uniform.
Key Features
- DryBlend technology provides moisture-wicking properties, drawing perspiration away from the body to maintain comfort throughout the working day.
- Contoured welt collar and cuffs help the garment retain its shape, preventing the "curled" look that often affects lower-quality polo shirts.
- A clean-finished placket with a reinforced bottom box provides additional strength at a high-stress point, ensuring the garment survives frequent use.
- Twin-needle bottom hem offers a double layer of stitching for enhanced durability and a professional finish.
- A tearaway label is included to prevent neck irritation and allow for easy rebranding where required.
Design & Performance
This polo is engineered from a medium-weight 50% US cotton and 50% polyester blend. By combining these fibres, Gildan has created a fabric that offers the breathable comfort of cotton alongside the hard-wearing, shrink-resistant nature of polyester. The jersey knit construction results in a flatter, smoother finish compared to traditional honeycomb fabrics, providing a more modern appearance and a superior surface for customisation.
The garment is side-seamed, which provides a more consistent fit and prevents the shirt from twisting during physical activity. The three woodtone buttons add a subtle, sophisticated detail that elevates the overall look beyond a standard basic polo.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth jersey knit of this polo makes it an exceptionally versatile canvas for branding. For a formal and long-lasting professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team uses high-precision machinery to ensure logos are rendered with clarity and durability.
Alternatively, the flat surface of the jersey fabric is well-suited to heat-transfer printing, which is ideal for larger, bolder designs on the back of the garment. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been refining these processes in-house to ensure your branding remains as resilient as the garment itself.
Use Cases
This garment is highly recommended for the hospitality and leisure industries, where staff must remain cool under pressure while maintaining a smart appearance. It is also an excellent choice for light engineering or delivery roles, where the moisture-wicking properties provide a distinct advantage over 100% cotton alternatives.

Practical Advice
This polo features a standard fit and is available in sizes ranging from Small to 3XL. When layering, the jersey fabric is thin enough to sit comfortably under a sweatshirt or softshell jacket without adding unnecessary bulk. We suggest checking the chest measurements (S 34/36" to 3XL 50") to ensure the most professional fit for your team.
Caring for your product
To preserve the performance of the DryBlend technology and the vibrancy of your customisation, we recommend a warm machine wash. Always wash the garment inside out and with similar colours to protect the fabric surface from abrasion.
Avoid using chlorine-based bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibres and cause premature fading. If tumble drying, use a medium setting; excessive heat can damage the moisture-wicking properties and may lead to garment shrinkage.
Crucially, do not iron over any decorated areas. Direct heat will compromise the integrity of prints and can distort embroidery. Dry cleaning is not recommended, as the chemicals used can interfere with the fabric's technical finish.
