Product Overview

The Henbury HB595 is a high-performance short-sleeve shirt designed for professionals who require a garment that maintains a crisp appearance while managing the physical demands of a busy workday. Constructed using specialised Cofrex and Pufy polyester yarns, this shirt is engineered to provide a permanent wicking effect, drawing moisture away from the skin to ensure you remain dry and comfortable even in high-pressure environments.

Key Features

  • Cofrex and Pufy polyester wicking yarn ensures moisture is effectively managed for long-term comfort.
  • An antibacterial finish inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria, keeping the wearer feeling fresh throughout extended shifts.
  • Built-in UVPF 50 protection offers high-level defence against harmful ultraviolet rays, making it ideal for outdoor roles.
  • Excellent colour retention ensures the shirt maintains its professional hue after repeated laundering.
  • Quick-dry properties allow for a rapid turnaround between washes, reducing downtime for your uniform rotation.

Design & Performance

The technical sophistication of this shirt lies in its fabric composition. The 100% Cofrex/Pufy polyester is not a surface treatment but a permanent feature of the yarn, meaning its wicking capabilities will not wash out over time. This lightweight fabric is exceptionally breathable and features an easy-care finish that reduces the need for heavy ironing, ensuring a professional silhouette from the start of the shift to the end.

The regular fit provides a balanced profile that offers freedom of movement without appearing overly baggy. Thoughtful design details, such as dyed-to-match buttons and a tear-out label for comfort, contribute to a cohesive and modern aesthetic suitable for various corporate and service settings.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This shirt is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing you to tailor it to your brand’s specific requirements. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a refined, professional look, particularly for company logos or staff names on the chest. The fine-weave fabric provides a stable base for intricate needlework, ensuring your branding remains sharp.

For larger, high-impact branding, our printing services offer a bold alternative. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, utilises precise techniques to ensure your branding is applied with the same attention to detail that went into the garment’s construction.

Use Cases

This garment is particularly well-suited for the hospitality sector, where staff must remain cool under pressure while maintaining a smart appearance. Its UV protection also makes it a sensible choice for transport personnel, events staff, or any professional working in sun-exposed conditions. The broad size range from S up to 4XL ensures a uniform look across your entire team.

Practical Advice

Due to the regular fit of this shirt, we recommend ordering your standard chest size to ensure a comfortable drape. For those working in varied climates, the moisture-wicking properties make this an excellent base layer under a fleece or softshell jacket, as it prevents sweat from cooling against the skin during periods of inactivity.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance characteristics of the Cofrex fabric, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C on a synthetic cycle. Washing at this temperature effectively removes oils and bacteria without damaging the technical polyester fibres.

It is essential to avoid the use of fabric softeners, as these can coat the wicking yarns and significantly reduce their ability to manage moisture. Furthermore, do not use bleach, as this will degrade the antibacterial finish and compromise the fabric's integrity. We also advise against dry cleaning.

For best results, hang the shirt to dry naturally rather than using a tumble dryer, which can cause heat damage to the synthetic yarns. If ironing is required, use a cool setting on the reverse of the garment and avoid direct contact with any printed or embroidered decoration to protect your custom branding.
