Product Overview

The Henbury Women's Wicking Antibacterial Short Sleeve Shirt is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require both high performance and a sharp, authoritative appearance. Engineered using specialised Cofrex/Pufy permanent wicking yarn, this shirt is designed to move moisture away from the skin, ensuring the wearer remains dry and comfortable during long shifts or in demanding environments.

Beyond its moisture-management capabilities, the fabric features a built-in anti-bacterial finish and significant UV protection, making it an essential garment for modern workforces that operate across varying climates and conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This shirt provides an excellent canvas for brand identity. For a sophisticated and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names; the stable weave of the polyester fabric supports high-definition stitching that maintains its shape. If your branding requires larger, more vibrant graphics, our printing processes offer exceptional colour retention on this specific material.

Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, oversees the entire process to ensure your branding is applied with the precision and expertise that nearly five decades in the industry provides.

Key Features
  • Cofrex/Pufy Wicking Yarn: This permanent technical feature ensures that moisture is constantly drawn away from the body, preventing the discomfort of damp clothing.
  • Anti-Bacterial Finish: This treatment actively inhibits the growth of bacteria, keeping the garment fresh for longer and reducing the need for aggressive laundering.
  • UVPF 50 Protection: Provides a high level of protection against ultraviolet rays, making it a safe choice for those working outdoors or in exposed environments.
  • Quick-Dry Properties: The fabric's structure allows for rapid evaporation, which is beneficial for both the wearer's comfort and reduced laundry turnaround times.
  • Tear-Out Label: A removable back neck label allows for easy re-branding, should you wish to add a custom internal neck print.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a lightweight 100% Cofrex/Pufy polyester, this shirt balances technical utility with a professional aesthetic. The regular fit is tailored specifically for the female form, providing comfort without being overly restrictive. The dyed-to-match buttons offer a clean, cohesive look that works well in customer-facing roles.

Durability is at the core of the design; the fabric is engineered for excellent colour retention, ensuring that your corporate colours remain vibrant even after repeated washing. This makes it a cost-effective choice for businesses looking to maintain a consistent professional appearance over time.

Use Cases

This shirt is highly versatile, making it ideal for the hospitality sector where staff must remain fresh and presentable under pressure. Its UV protection and wicking properties also make it perfectly suited for outdoor event staff, facilities management, or any professional role that transitions between indoor and outdoor tasks.

Practical Advice

The regular fit of this shirt is designed to be true to size. For a more tailored appearance, some users may prefer to size down, but we recommend referring to our size guide (ranging from XS to 4XL) to ensure the best fit for your team. The short-sleeve design is excellent for layering under a softshell jacket or blazer during cooler months.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical performance of this garment is straightforward, provided specific guidelines are followed. We recommend a synthetic wash at 40°C; using a higher temperature may degrade the permanent wicking fibres and the anti-bacterial finish.

Avoid the use of bleach, as this will damage the polyester structure and lead to premature wear. Similarly, fabric softeners should be avoided, as they can coat the technical fibres and significantly reduce the shirt's wicking efficiency.

To preserve the garment's shape and any custom branding, do not tumble dry. Instead, wash and dry the shirt inside out and hang it to dry. If ironing is required, use a cool setting on the reverse of the fabric and never iron directly over any print or embroidery decoration, as this will cause irreversible damage to the branding.
