Product Overview

The Brook Taverner Athena Pilot Shirt is a sophisticated and highly functional blouse designed for women who require an authoritative, professional appearance. Drawing inspiration from traditional aviation uniforms, this long-sleeved garment balances a sharp aesthetic with the practicalities of modern workwear. As part of the Business Essentials collection, it provides a consistent, high-quality solution for teams requiring a unified and reliable corporate image.

Key Features
  • Semi-fitted Silhouette: Designed to provide a tailored, professional look that offers a flattering shape without being restrictive during active shifts.
  • Functional Epaulettes: These traditional shoulder details allow for the easy attachment of rank slides or security insignia, making the shirt ideal for uniform-based roles.
  • Dual Chest Pockets: Two practical pockets provide essential storage for small items while maintaining the classic pilot shirt aesthetic.
  • Integrated Pen Holder: A dedicated slot ensures you always have a writing instrument close at hand, a simple but vital addition for busy professionals.
  • Single Cuff Long Sleeves: The classic cuff design ensures a neat finish at the wrist, suitable for wearing alone or under a uniform jacket.

Design & Performance

The Athena Pilot Shirt is engineered from a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. This specific composition is chosen for its performance characteristics; the polyester provides excellent crease resistance and durability, ensuring the shirt remains looking sharp throughout the day, while the cotton content offers breathability and comfort against the skin.

Constructed from a lightweight fabric, this blouse is easy to wear for extended periods and is particularly well-suited for indoor environments or as part of a layered uniform. The use of recycled polyester also reflects a commitment to more sustainable garment production without sacrificing the technical integrity of the workwear.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This pilot shirt serves as an excellent canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for this specific garment; a finely stitched logo or employee name on the chest provides a superior, permanent finish that complements the formal nature of the blouse. The structured fabric supports high-stitch-count designs with ease.

For organisations requiring larger or more intricate graphical displays, our precision printing techniques offer a crisp and vibrant alternative. Our in-house production team in Telford has been perfecting these customisation methods since 1976, ensuring that every garment leaving our facility meets our exacting standards of quality.

Use Cases

The Athena Pilot Shirt is ideally suited for professionals in the aviation and maritime industries, as well as for security personnel, transport staff, and front-of-house hospitality teams. Its formal appearance makes it equally appropriate for any corporate setting where a structured, uniform look is required.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage stretching back to 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of experience in providing technical clothing for the UK workforce. Based in Telford, our expert team understands the nuances of fabric performance and customisation, ensuring that your staff not only look the part but are equipped with garments that last.

Practical Advice

The semi-fitted nature of this blouse means it is designed to follow the lines of the body. If you prefer a more generous fit for increased range of movement, you may wish to consider one size larger than your usual measurement. The crisp white fabric is best paired with a neutral base layer if additional warmth is required.

Caring for your product

To maintain the integrity and professional finish of the Athena Pilot Shirt, it is fully machine washable. Regular cleaning according to the garment's internal instructions will ensure that the white fabric retains its brightness and the semi-fitted shape is preserved over time.

Proper laundering is also essential for protecting your customisation. By following the recommended washing parameters, you ensure that embroidered logos remain taut and printed designs stay vibrant, preventing the premature degradation of your brand's image.
