Russell Athletic Collection Short sleeve polycotton easycare poplin shirt

Product Overview

The Russell Collection Short Sleeve Polycotton Poplin Shirt is an essential garment for those who require a sophisticated appearance without sacrificing daily comfort. Constructed from a refined poplin weave, this shirt offers a crisp, clean aesthetic that serves as an ideal canvas for corporate branding. The lightweight nature of the fabric ensures breathability, making it a reliable choice for indoor environments and warmer climates where maintaining a professional image is paramount.

Key Features

• Classic Boned Collar: The inclusion of collar bones ensures the shirt maintains its shape and sharp lines throughout the working day, preventing the collar from rolling or becoming untidy.
• Back Yoke with Side Pleats: This design feature provides additional room across the shoulders, allowing for a greater range of movement and improved comfort during active tasks.
• Mitred Edge Chest Pocket: Located on the left breast, this pocket offers a functional space for small items while adding a traditional touch of detail to the garment.
• Straight Bottom Hem: The straight cut provides versatility, allowing the shirt to look equally professional whether it is tucked in or worn loosely for a more relaxed setting.

Design & Performance

The garment is engineered from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton poplin. This specific composition is chosen for its 'easycare' properties, significantly reducing the time required for ironing while maintaining a high resistance to wrinkles. The fine poplin weave produces a smooth surface that feels soft against the skin, yet the polyester content ensures the shirt is durable enough to withstand the rigours of frequent laundering and daily wear.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This shirt is particularly well-suited for customisation. The fine, lightweight fabric is an excellent match for detailed embroidery, allowing for high-definition logos and text that sit flat against the material. For those seeking larger, more vibrant displays of branding, our high-quality printing processes provide a bold and clear finish.

All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford. Since 1976, we have been perfecting the art of garment decoration, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision and care to reflect the quality of your business.

Use Cases

Due to its elegant finish and lightweight construction, this shirt is an ideal choice for hospitality staff, corporate office teams, and promotional representatives at trade shows. It provides a consistent, professional appearance across large teams and is particularly effective for front-of-house roles where first impressions are critical.

Practical Advice

This shirt is available in a broad size range from S to 4XL, with specific neck measurements provided to ensure a precise fit. Given the lightweight fabric, it layers exceptionally well under knitwear or jackets without adding unnecessary bulk. We recommend checking your collar size accurately to ensure the boned collar sits comfortably against the neck.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity of the shirt and the vibrancy of your custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at 50°C. This temperature is effective at removing common workplace stains while protecting the polyester and cotton fibres from premature degradation.

This garment is suitable for tumble drying. However, to get the most benefit from the 'easycare' finish, we advise removing the shirt from the dryer while slightly damp and hanging it immediately. This further reduces the need for heavy ironing, preserving the fabric's smooth texture for longer.
