Product Overview

The Tee Jays Pima Cotton Polo represents a significant elevation in corporate workwear, moving beyond the standard utility polo to offer a garment of exceptional refinement. Constructed from 100% long-fibre Pima cotton, this polo shirt is designed for professionals who require a sophisticated appearance without sacrificing the comfort necessary for a full working day. The interlock knit provides a smoother, denser surface than traditional piqué, resulting in a shirt that feels substantial yet remains breathable.

Key Features
  • 100% Ringspun Combed Pima Cotton: Utilising long-fibre cotton creates a remarkably soft handle and a natural lustre that lasts far longer than standard cotton varieties.
  • Tailored Fit: The slim-fitted body provides a contemporary, sharp silhouette that bridges the gap between casual wear and formal attire.
  • Reinforced Shoulders: Critical for maintaining the garment's structure, reinforced stitching ensures the polo retains its shape even after repeated wear and laundering.
  • Double Pre-shrunk Fabric: This technical process ensures that the garment maintains its original dimensions, providing a reliable fit from the first day to the last.
  • Enzyme Wash and Silicone Treatment: These finishing processes result in a uniquely smooth texture and a cleaner surface, which is particularly beneficial for high-quality customisation.
  • Self-fabric Stand-up Collar: Unlike ribbed collars that can curl, this self-fabric design provides a structured, elegant look suitable for management and front-of-house roles.

Design & Performance

The performance of this polo is rooted in its technical construction. By using 44 singles Pima cotton in an interlock weave, Tee Jays has created a fabric that is both durable and incredibly comfortable against the skin. The addition of anthracite pearl imitation buttons on an elegant placket provides a subtle, high-end finish that distinguishes it from budget alternatives.

The medium-weight fabric offers excellent opacity and drape, ensuring the wearer looks professional throughout the day. Because the cotton is ringspun and combed, the surface is remarkably low-linting, which is essential for maintaining a crisp appearance in corporate environments.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This premium Pima cotton surface is an ideal canvas for both print and embroidery. Given the sophisticated nature of the garment, we often recommend embroidery for corporate logos or staff names. The dense interlock knit supports high-stitch-count designs beautifully, ensuring your branding sits flat and looks professional.

For organisations requiring larger, more vibrant graphics, our Telford-based team can apply high-quality prints. The silicone-treated surface ensures that prints adhere smoothly and retain their colour. At MyWorkwear, we have been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring your branding is as durable as the garment itself.

Use Cases

This polo is perfectly suited for management teams, sales representatives, and front-of-house staff where a 'smart-casual' uniform is required. It is an excellent choice for corporate events or trade shows where you need your team to stand out for their professionalism and attention to detail.

Practical Advice

As this garment features a tailored, slim fit, we recommend reviewing the size guide carefully. If your team prefers a more relaxed fit, you may wish to consider sizing up. The stand-up collar makes this an excellent layering piece under a blazer or a premium knitwear item for a fully professional corporate ensemble.

Caring for your product

To maintain the superior finish and integrity of the Pima cotton, we recommend a machine wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove daily soilage while protecting the long-fibre structure and the vibrancy of the fabric dyes.

It is vital that you do not tumble dry this garment. High heat from a dryer can cause the natural cotton fibres to contract or warp, potentially compromising the tailored fit and the smoothness of the interlock weave. Always wash with similar colours to prevent dye transfer.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the cotton fibres and destroy the anthracite pearl buttons. Finally, if you have opted for a printed design, do not iron directly over the customisation, as the heat will damage the print medium and may cause it to lift from the fabric.
