Product Overview
The Stormtech Women's Matrix System Jacket represents a sophisticated approach to the traditional 3-in-1 garment, engineered to provide year-round protection without compromising on style or mobility. This versatile system consists of a technical outer shell and a removable thermal liner, allowing the wearer to adapt to fluctuating British weather conditions with ease. The primary focus of this garment is its H2XTREME waterproof and breathable technology, which ensures you remain dry and comfortable regardless of the intensity of the downpour or the duration of your outdoor tasks.
Key Features
- H2XTREME Waterproof/Breathable Technology: With a 10,000mm waterproof rating and 3,000g breathability, the outer shell effectively blocks rain while allowing moisture vapour to escape, preventing the internal build-up of humidity.
- Fully Sealed Seams: Every seam is meticulously taped to create a watertight barrier, ensuring no moisture can penetrate the garment's most vulnerable points.
- Articulated Elbows: The sleeves are ergonomically shaped to follow the natural movement of the arms, providing a full range of motion that is essential for active professional roles.
- Feather-Free Thermal Shell: The interchangeable liner provides robust thermal insulation without the use of animal products, offering lightweight warmth that can be worn independently or zipped into the shell.
- Mechanical Stretch Fabric: The 100% polyester mechanical stretch outer layer provides flexibility, ensuring the jacket moves with you rather than restricting you.
Design & Performance
This jacket is constructed from a high-performance 100% polyester mechanical stretch fabric, which has been bonded with a single jersey lining. This choice of material provides a substantial, protective feel while maintaining the flexibility required for demanding work environments. The design prioritises both function and durability; the mechanical stretch ensures the fabric can withstand regular physical exertion without losing its shape or integrity. When worn together, the shell and liner create a formidable barrier against the elements; when separated, they offer a lightweight waterproof layer or a standalone thermal jacket, making this one of the most practical investments for a professional wardrobe.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Matrix System Jacket is an excellent candidate for corporate branding. For a more formal and durable finish, we recommend embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford can apply your company logo or staff names with precision, ensuring a professional appearance that withstands the rigours of the field. Due to the high-performance nature of the fabric, embroidery is often preferred for its longevity and premium texture.
Alternatively, if your branding requires a larger, more impactful design, digital printing is also available. This is particularly effective for high-visibility branding on the back or shoulders. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has specialised in garment customisation, and our experts ensure that any customisation maintains the technical integrity of the jacket while making your team look impeccable.
Use Cases
This jacket is perfectly suited for site managers, surveyors, and outdoor professionals who require a garment that can transition from a cold morning on-site to a damp afternoon meeting. The sleek design and technical performance also make it a superior choice for corporate travel and team uniforms where a professional, unified look is essential. Its 3-in-1 nature means it is as useful during the depths of winter as it is during a mild, rainy spring.

Practical Advice
The Matrix System Jacket is designed with a professional fit in mind, ranging from Small to XL. When choosing your size, consider what you will be wearing beneath it; the 3-in-1 design already provides significant layering, but if you intend to wear a heavy jumper as well, you may wish to review the chest measurements carefully. The articulated elbows mean the sleeves are already designed for movement, so there is typically no need to size up for mobility reasons.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance of the H2XTREME waterproof membrane and the integrity of the sealed seams, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Maintaining the cleanliness of the garment ensures that the pores in the breathable fabric do not become blocked by dirt or oils.
We recommend a machine wash using a cold cycle. This prevents thermal damage to the bonded fabrics and ensures that the waterproof coatings remain effective. Higher temperatures can degrade the technical properties of the polyester and jersey blend.
This garment should not be tumble dried. Heat from a tumble dryer can cause the sealed seams to delaminate and the mechanical stretch fibres to lose their elasticity. Instead, hang the jacket to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Do not iron this jacket. The synthetic materials used in the shell and the thermal liner are sensitive to direct heat, which can melt the fabric or damage the internal membranes. If creases occur, they will naturally fall out during regular wear or when hung up.
