Stormtech Avalante fleece vest

Product Overview

The Stormtech Avalante fleece vest is a sophisticated mid-layer designed for professionals who require a balance of thermal efficiency and operational freedom. As a flagship piece in the Pure Earth sustainable collection, this garment is engineered to provide substantial warmth in both indoor and outdoor environments. The focus here is on high-performance utility, using recycled materials to create a durable, eco-conscious layer that stands up to the rigours of daily wear.

Key Features

• Articulated shoulders allow for a full range of motion, ensuring the vest moves with you rather than restricting your activity.
• A secure full-front zipper with an extended-zip design allows for quick ventilation adjustments as your work intensity changes.
• The integrated low-profile chin saver provides essential protection against skin irritation, ensuring comfort throughout long shifts.
• Zipped hand pockets are lined for additional warmth, providing both secure storage for tools and a comfortable refuge from the cold.

Design & Performance

This vest is constructed from a heavyweight fleece fabric that prioritises core insulation. The composition features a high percentage of recycled polyester, reflecting a commitment to reducing environmental impact without compromising on garment longevity. The fabric’s structure is designed to trap air effectively, providing a reliable thermal barrier. Despite its warmth, the fleece remains breathable, making it an excellent choice for active roles where temperature regulation is critical.

Customisation: Embroidery Only

Because of the plush, textured surface of this heavyweight fleece, we offer embroidery as the sole customisation method. Traditional print applications do not adhere effectively to the deep pile of fleece and can often lead to a finish that lacks durability. Embroidery, however, involves stitching your design directly into the fabric, resulting in a premium, three-dimensional look that can withstand frequent laundering. Our in-house embroidery specialists in Telford have been perfecting this technique since 1976, ensuring your branding is sharp, durable, and professional.

Use Cases

The Avalante fleece vest is perfectly suited for site supervisors, logistics staff, and outdoor technicians who need to keep their core warm while maintaining arm mobility. It functions exceptionally well as a standalone outer layer in transitional weather or as a secondary layer beneath a heavy coat during the winter months.

Practical Advice

The vest is designed with a standard fit to accommodate layering. If you intend to wear this over a heavy sweatshirt, you may find the upper end of your size range provides the most comfortable fit. For those wearing it over a light polo shirt, your standard size will offer a neat, professional silhouette.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and thermal performance of the heavyweight fleece, we recommend a cool wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can cause the synthetic fibres to break down prematurely, leading to a loss of softness and insulation.

It is important to avoid using bleach or harsh chemical detergents, as these can degrade the recycled polyester and affect the vibrancy of your embroidered logo. For the best results, allow the garment to air dry naturally. Tumble drying should be avoided to prevent the embroidery thread from shrinking at a different rate than the fleece fabric, which could cause the logo to pucker.
