Product Overview

The Stanley/Stella Archer vintage hoodie is a sophisticated choice for businesses seeking a premium, sustainable aesthetic for their team. Crafted from 100% organic ringspun combed cotton, this medium-fit sweatshirt is garment-dyed, a process that ensures each piece has a unique character with slight shading on the seams for a refined, lived-in appearance. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, the Archer offers a substantial, medium-weight feel that balances warmth with breathability, making it suitable for year-round professional use.

Key Features
  • 100% Organic Ringspun Combed Cotton: This high-quality fibre provides a smoother surface for branding and superior comfort against the skin compared to standard cotton.
  • Double-Layered Hood: The self-fabric hood construction provides extra structure and thermal retention, ensuring the garment maintains its shape even after repeated wear.
  • Metal Hardware: Round drawcords feature closed metal tipping and pass through metal eyelets, providing a durable and high-end finish that resists fraying.
  • Twin-Needle Topstitching: Reinforced stitching on the armholes, sleeve hems, and bottom hem ensures the garment can withstand the rigours of daily work without unravelling.
  • Kangaroo Pocket: A classic functional feature that provides convenient storage for small tools or essential items while maintaining the hoodie's clean silhouette.

Design & Performance

This hoodie is engineered for longevity and professional presentation. The set-in sleeves and 1x1 ribbing at the hem and cuffs provide a structured fit that doesn't sag over time. The inclusion of an inside herringbone back neck tape and a self-fabric half-moon at the back neck are technical details that prevent stretching around the collar, maintaining the garment's professional appearance through long shifts. Because it is garment-dyed, the fabric has a softer hand-feel and a depth of colour that standard reactive-dyed garments cannot replicate.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Stanley/Stella Archer is a versatile canvas for your brand. Its 100% organic cotton surface is particularly well-suited to embroidery, where the density of the fabric supports intricate logo work for a professional, permanent finish. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, ensures that every stitch is placed with precision.

For those requiring larger, more vibrant designs, the Archer also supports high-quality print. However, due to the garment-dyeing process, we recommend specific print techniques to ensure the best possible result. Our in-house experts can guide you on the most appropriate method to ensure your branding remains sharp and durable.

Use Cases

This hoodie is an excellent choice for creative agencies, high-end retail staff, or sustainable businesses looking to reflect their eco-conscious values. It is equally appropriate for tradespeople who require a more modern, comfortable layer that still projects an image of quality and attention to detail.

Practical Advice

The Archer features a medium fit. For those who prefer a more relaxed or oversized look, particularly when layering over thicker shirts, we suggest considering one size larger than your usual choice. Always refer to the sizing guide to ensure the best fit for your team.

Caring for your product

To maintain the fabric's integrity and the vibrancy of the garment-dyed finish, we recommend washing at 30°C. High temperatures can cause the organic fibres to degrade prematurely and may lead to excessive fading.

It is essential to wash this garment separately or with similar colours, as the garment-dyeing process means colour may bleed, especially during the first few washes. Avoid tumble drying to prevent shrinkage and to protect any custom print or embroidery from heat damage.

Always wash and iron the garment inside out using a mild detergent that contains no bleach. Bleaching agents will strip the unique dye from the fabric, leading to patchy discolouration. Finally, do not iron directly onto any printed areas to avoid melting the design or damaging the garment.
