Product Info

The Stella denim shirt is a masterclass in combining classic utilitarian style with modern sustainability. Designed specifically for women, this medium-weight garment serves as a robust layering piece or a standalone professional statement. Its medium fit ensures a silhouette that remains comfortable throughout a busy working day. Crafted from 100% organic cotton woven denim, it offers a refined alternative to standard work shirts, presenting a sophisticated aesthetic that does not compromise on environmental responsibility.

Product Overview

As part of the Stanley/Stella range, the Stella denim shirt (STWW970) provides a versatile canvas for any business looking to elevate their brand identity. The garment features a point collar with precise single-needle topstitching and a forwarded shoulder design that improves the overall drape of the shirt. Because this is an indigo yarn-dyed product that has undergone garment washing, each shirt possesses a unique character, with subtle variations in the faded look along the seams, ensuring your team has a look that is both unified and distinct.

Key Features

  • Point collar with single-needle topstitches provides a sharp, clean finish at the neckline for a professional appearance.
  • Front placket with double-sided topstitching ensures the garment maintains its structure and alignment after multiple wears.
  • The back yoke is designed without a pleat, offering a large, flat surface area that is ideal for expansive branding and clear customisation.
  • Two-button cuffs with double pleats at the seam allow for easy adjustment and a tailored appearance at the wrist.
  • A contrast button on the collar stand adds a subtle, high-quality design detail that sets this garment apart from standard industrial workwear.

Design & Performance

The performance of this shirt lies in its material composition and construction. The 100% organic cotton woven denim is a medium-weight fabric that provides durability without the excessive bulk of heavy-duty denim. The garment-washing process not only creates that sought-after indigo aesthetic but also softens the fabric, meaning the shirt is comfortable from the very first wear. As an indigo-dyed product, it is designed to age gracefully, with the colour developing a personal character over time, reflecting the hard work of the wearer while maintaining its structural integrity.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This garment is exceptionally well-suited for both print and embroidery, thanks to its high-quality denim weave and the absence of a back pleat. Embroidery is an excellent choice for those seeking a superior finish on the chest or collar, providing a three-dimensional, high-quality look for company logos and names. For larger, more impactful designs on the back, our printing processes offer vibrant results that stand out against the indigo backdrop.

Since 1976, our expert team in Telford has been perfecting the art of garment decoration. We manage all customisation in-house, ensuring that every stitch of embroidery and every layer of print meets our exacting standards before the shirt reaches your door.

Use Cases

The Stella denim shirt is ideal for front-of-house staff in the hospitality sector, retail professionals, or any business owner looking for a modern, fashion-forward approach to their corporate identity. It bridges the gap between casual and formal, making it suitable for both creative studio environments and client-facing roles where a modern image is essential.

Practical Advice

The Stella offers a medium fit, which provides a flattering shape without being overly restrictive. If you intend to wear this as an overshirt with a base layer, you may wish to consider sizing up to ensure complete freedom of movement. We offer a range from XS (Size 8) up to 2XL (Size 18) to accommodate various team requirements. As this is a natural fibre garment, please account for a small amount of natural movement in the fabric over time.

Caring for your product

To maintain the integrity of the organic cotton and the richness of the indigo dye, we recommend a machine wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures may lead to premature fading or potential shrinkage of the natural fibres, which will alter the fit of the shirt.

This garment should not be bleached. Using harsh chemical bleaches will strip the indigo dye and damage the organic cotton weave, leading to permanent discolouration and weakened fabric that may tear more easily.

We advise against tumble drying. Instead, allow the shirt to air dry naturally to preserve its shape. Tumble drying can cause the denim to stiffen and may result in unwanted shrinkage. If ironing is required, use a low temperature and always iron the garment inside out. It is essential to avoid ironing directly over any printed customisation, as the high heat can damage the transfer and ruin the design.

Please be aware that as an indigo-dyed product, colour may bleed during the first few washes. We recommend washing with similar colours to prevent any accidental dye transfer to lighter garments in the wash cycle.
