Product Overview

The Stanley Discoverer hooded softshell is a substantial outerwear solution designed for those who require reliable protection without sacrificing a professional appearance. As part of the Stanley/Stella range, this jacket combines a clean, modern aesthetic with the functional demands of a daily work environment. Whether you are navigating a busy site or representing your business at a client meeting, this garment provides a versatile layer that stands up to the rigours of the British weather while maintaining its shape.

Key Features
  • Integrated Hood: Provides essential protection against the elements, ensuring you stay dry and focused on the task at hand during unpredictable weather.
  • Polyester Blend Fabric: The use of a high-quality polyester blend ensures the jacket is resilient against wear and tear, providing a longer lifespan for your workwear investment.
  • Extensive Size Range: Available from Small through to 5XL, allowing for a consistent and professional look across your entire workforce, regardless of build.
  • Masculine Tailoring: Specifically engineered for a male fit, ensuring ease of movement and a sharp, well-fitted appearance on the job.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a heavyweight fabric, the Discoverer softshell feels remarkably sturdy and well-engineered. The substantial nature of the material provides an effective barrier against the wind, while the softshell finish offers a degree of flexibility that is often lacking in more rigid outer layers. This balance of weight and movement makes it an excellent choice for active professionals who need to move freely while staying warm.

The attention to detail in the construction means the seams are built to last, preventing the common fraying associated with inferior garments. The choice of professional colours—including Anthracite, French Navy, and Stargazer—ensures that your branding remains the focal point while maintaining a sophisticated look that represents your business accurately.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation.

Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance that is ideal for company logos and individual names. This method is particularly durable, standing up to repeated washing and heavy use without losing its professional finish or fading over time.

Alternatively, print customisation is better suited to large, bold designs and offers a broader colour range for complex graphics. This ensures your branding is clearly visible from a distance, making it a popular choice for promotional events or high-visibility roles.

Our expert in-house team, established in 1976, handles all customisation at our facility in Telford. This allows us to maintain strict quality control and ensure your garments are finished to our exacting standards.

Use Cases

The Stanley Discoverer is perfectly suited for site managers, surveyors, and technical engineers who require a garment that can transition from a vehicle to an outdoor environment seamlessly. It also serves as an excellent uniform choice for delivery drivers or logistics personnel who require a professional appearance while braving the elements. Its clean lines also make it suitable for corporate branding during trade shows or outdoor events where a standard fleece might appear too casual.

Why MyWorkwear

At MyWorkwear, we have been providing high-quality clothing solutions since 1976. Based in Telford, our decades of experience mean we understand the importance of durable, well-made garments that can withstand the demands of a working day. We don't just sell clothes; we provide the professional equipment your business needs to succeed, backed by a team of experts who take pride in every stitch and print.

Practical Advice

For the best results, we recommend layering this softshell over a polo shirt or a medium-weight sweatshirt. Because of its substantial fabric weight, it acts as a primary outer layer. If your team members are often wearing multiple layers beneath their jacket, you may find the larger sizes in our range (up to 5XL) particularly useful to ensure comfort and breathability.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and professional appearance of this jacket, it is important to treat the technical polyester blend with care. Proper maintenance ensures that the fabric retains its structure and continues to provide protection over a long service life.

We advise checking the internal label for specific washing instructions. Avoiding harsh chemicals and high heat during the cleaning process will prevent the fibres from weakening, ensuring your embroidered or printed logos remain as vibrant as the day they arrived from our Telford workshop.
