Product Overview

The Russell Collection Women's short sleeve herringbone shirt represents a sophisticated shift for professional wardrobes. While the Oxford shirt has long been a staple, this garment introduces the distinctive herringbone weave—a classic retail fabric—to the business environment. It balances a refined aesthetic with the resilience required for daily wear, ensuring your team presents a modern, polished image without sacrificing the practicalities of a hard-working uniform.

Key Features

  • Fine Herringbone Weave: A contemporary alternative to standard weaves, providing a subtle texture that elevates the professional look beyond standard uniform offerings.

  • No Show-Through: The fabric's construction ensures excellent opacity, providing confidence and maintaining a modest, professional appearance in all lighting conditions.

  • Strategic Tailoring: Darts at the chest, front, and back hem create a fitted silhouette that provides a sleek, modern shape without restricting movement.

  • Modern Detailing: A neat, modern collar and narrow width placket contribute to a streamlined, current aesthetic suitable for modern business environments.

Design & Performance

Crafted from a blend of 84% cotton and 16% polyester, this shirt is engineered for both comfort and longevity. The cotton-rich composition ensures the garment remains breathable during long shifts, while the polyester content provides the structural integrity needed to withstand the rigours of a busy workplace. The fabric is a lightweight, fine-textured material that feels premium to the touch while remaining durable.

The design is specifically cut for the female form, utilizing strategic darting to ensure a comfortable yet structured fit that moves with the wearer. This attention to detail prevents the fabric from bunching and maintains a clean line across the torso, ensuring staff look as sharp at the end of the day as they did at the start.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This herringbone shirt is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. Given the fine texture of the weave, embroidery is particularly effective for adding company logos or staff names, resulting in a prestigious, tactile finish that communicates quality. For those requiring larger, more vibrant branding, our printing techniques integrate seamlessly with the fabric surface.

At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting the art of garment customisation since 1976. We handle every stage of the process in-house, ensuring that your branding is applied with the precision it deserves, whether you choose a subtle chest logo or a more prominent design.

Use Cases

This shirt is ideally suited for front-of-house roles in the hospitality sector, corporate office environments, or customer-facing retail positions. Its blend of durability and style makes it a reliable choice for any setting where first impressions are paramount but the daily workload is demanding.

Practical Advice

The fitted nature of this shirt provides a sleek look, but we recommend consulting our sizing guide—which ranges from XS to 4XL—to ensure the best fit for your team. It layers perfectly under a tailored jacket or knitwear without adding unnecessary bulk, making it a versatile piece for year-round professional use.

Caring for your product

To preserve the integrity of the herringbone weave and the precision of your customisation, it is essential to take advantage of the easy-care properties of this garment. Proper maintenance ensures the fabric remains opaque and the tailored shape is retained throughout its life cycle.

Following the recommended care instructions will prevent the cotton-polyester fibres from weakening, ensuring the shirt remains a durable part of your uniform. A light press after laundering will further enhance the sharp, professional finish of the modern collar and narrow placket.
