Product Overview

The Russell Collection Women’s Long Sleeve Polycotton Easycare Fitted Poplin Shirt is a masterclass in professional attire, blending a classic aesthetic with modern tailoring. Designed specifically for the female silhouette, this shirt avoids the boxy nature of standard workwear by incorporating precision-placed darts. The use of a fine poplin fabric provides a smooth, crisp surface that remains comfortable throughout a long shift, whether you are managing a front-of-house team or representing your business in the boardroom.

Key Features
  • A concealed placket provides a sleek, uninterrupted front, ensuring your professional appearance remains streamlined and uncluttered.
  • Strategically placed darts on the bust, front hem, and back panel create a fitted shape that flatters without restricting movement.
  • Modern rounded cuffs featuring two buttons allow for a personalised fit around the wrist, maintaining a sharp look even when reaching or typing.
  • The stylish yoke design and decorative top stitching on the darts provide structural integrity and a subtle touch of tailored detail.
  • A rounded hem offers versatility, allowing the shirt to be worn tucked in for a formal look or untucked for a slightly more relaxed but still professional vibe.

Design & Performance

Fabricated from a 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend, this shirt is engineered for durability. The polyester provides resilience and helps the garment retain its shape after repeated wear, while the cotton ensures the fabric remains breathable against the skin. As a lightweight fabric, it is ideal for busy indoor environments where temperature control is essential. The 'easycare' finish is a significant advantage for the busy professional, as it reduces the time spent at the ironing board, ensuring you look prepared for the day with minimal effort.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This poplin shirt is an ideal candidate for customisation. For a sophisticated finish, we highly recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976, uses high-quality threads that stand out beautifully against the smooth poplin weave. If your branding requires a more vibrant or large-scale design, the fine texture of the fabric also accommodates high-definition printing exceptionally well. Whether you require a discreet logo on the collar or a bold design on the chest, we ensure your branding is executed with technical precision.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for the hospitality industry, particularly for reception and waitstaff who require a uniform that is both elegant and hard-wearing. It is equally effective as a standard corporate uniform, providing a cohesive and professional look for office-based teams. Given the wide size range from XS to 4XL, it is a practical choice for businesses looking to outfit a diverse workforce with a consistent aesthetic.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has spent decades understanding the specific needs of the UK workforce. Based in Telford, our expert team manages every aspect of your order, from initial consultation to the final stitch of embroidery. We don't just supply clothes; we provide durable, well-engineered garments that help your business project the right image.

Practical Advice

As this is a fitted garment, we recommend paying close attention to the sizing guide to ensure the desired silhouette. The darts provide a structured fit through the waist and bust, so if you prefer a little more room for movement, you may wish to consider the next size up. This shirt layers perfectly under a blazer or knitwear without adding unnecessary bulk, thanks to its lightweight construction.

Caring for your product

To ensure this shirt continues to perform and look its best, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at this temperature is effective for removing daily stains while protecting the polyester and cotton fibres from the premature degradation often caused by excessively hot water.

The garment is suitable for tumble drying on a low setting. Maintaining a lower heat is crucial as it prevents the fabric from becoming brittle and helps preserve the integrity of any custom embroidery or print. Following these steps will ensure the shirt retains its fitted shape and professional finish over time.
